45° Elbow with One Push-Fit End IVAR.IVN423 – Stainless Steel AISI 304, 28 mm
Code: IVN423.28Product detailed description
The IVAR.IVN423 – 28 mm elbow from the IVAR system made of stainless steel AISI 304 (1.4301) has a compression neck with an EPDM O-ring at one end for a 28 mm pipe. The other end is push-in, with the pipe diameter – you insert it directly into the neck of another fitting of the same size and save a pipe section. It changes the direction by 45°, withstands pressure up to PN 16 and temperature from -20 °C to +120 °C.
Application
Closed heating and cooling circuits, solar systems, compressed air and vacuum lines, inert and technical gases, technical and operational liquids, industrial applications, waste and rainwater. The fitting is not intended for potable water – this is also indicated by a symbol on its body.
Installation
Cut the pipe perpendicularly to the axis using a cutter or fine-toothed file (not a grinding wheel or flame), deburr it inside and outside, and insert it into the neck until it reaches the stop; mark the insertion depth with a marker. The push-in end is inserted and compressed in the same way into the adjacent fitting. Use pliers with profile M for crimping, for size 28 mm use individual pliers. The joint is crimped only once – repeated crimping may damage the sealing.
The orange stripe breaks during crimping, so you can easily recognize an uncrimped joint at a glance. The LBP (Leak Before Press) O-ring also releases an uncrimped joint during pressure testing.
Before putting the system into operation, flush the entire circuit and follow the manufacturer’s installation instructions. The version with compression neck on both sides is type IVAR.IVN422.

Frequently asked questions
What is the push-in end of the IVAR.IVN423 elbow used for?
The push-in end has a pipe diameter of 28 mm and is inserted directly into the compression neck of another fitting of the same size, which is then crimped. This allows you to connect the elbow to a fitting without using a pipe section.
Can the IVAR.IVN423 fitting be used for potable water?
No. The stainless steel system AISI 304 is not intended for potable water by the manufacturer, which is also indicated by a symbol on the fitting body. It is intended for heating, cooling, solar systems and technical media distribution.
What crimping pliers do I need for size 28 mm?
Pliers with profile M. For diameters from 15 to 35 mm, individual pliers are used according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
How do I recognize a joint I forgot to crimp?
The orange stripe remains intact on an uncrimped fitting, which breaks during crimping. In addition, the LBP O-ring releases an uncrimped joint during pressure testing, so you will detect the error before putting the system into operation.

IVAR designs, develops and manufactures highly energy-efficient heating and plumbing systems. We have over 10,000 catalogue items - mass-produced products and unique items - in addition to customised systems and combinations of complex products. And it’s all “Made in Italy”.
Vision
To make life easier for our clients, our clients' customers and our employees, thanks to our ability to be constantly innovative.
Mission
To design and manufacture advanced hydronic solutions that reduce installation complexity and energy consumption.
“Made in Italy” adds value
IVAR has been producing heating and plumbing system components since 1985: valves for heating bodies, direct heat metering modules, heat cost allocators, pipes and fittings, substations for heating systems, distribution manifolds, radiant panel systems, and components for solar and geothermal systems. And it’s all “Made in Italy”.
Over 200 people are employed at our manufacturing facilities in Prevalle (in northern Italy’s Brescia province). The site has been designed to streamline our many production and operational stages.
The Italian headquarters also acts as a hub for the wider IVAR Group, set up with the goal of distributing products beyond Italy’s borders. The group now has 11 branches, in Australia, Belgium, China, Germany, the United Kingdom, the Czech Republic, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, the United States and Tunisia.
Know How
Research, development and numerous laboratory tests guarantee that our clients’ requests can be translated into new high-efficiency products.
The stages required for production take place internally, beginning with hot forming, which is carried out at our subsidiary Valmon Stampati. Our continuous implementation of projects under the Industry 4.0 initiative also allows us to take full advantage of new releases in technology and IT to improve our manufacturing efficiency.
As a company, IVAR is constantly evolving. Every day, we invest in strengthening our products, in improving our production processes and in attaining new patents and certifications.
