The Boilers, Water Heaters and Buffer Tanks category offers a complete range for domestic hot water preparation as well as heat storage – electric storage water heaters with both dry and wet heating elements (for example the Qtermo Q-STYLE series), pressurized and non-pressurized instant water heaters, and stationary tanks with a heat exchanger.

Instant water heaters heat the water directly as it flows through, without the need for a tank, and are especially suitable for a single tap (sink or washbasin); storage water heaters and buffer tanks, on the other hand, keep a supply of hot water or heating water ready for immediate use.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is the difference between a dry and a wet heating element? With a dry element, the heating coil is not in direct contact with the water (it is protected by a sleeve), so it can be replaced without draining the tank; a wet element is simpler, but the tank must be drained in case of a fault.
  • When is an instant water heater worth choosing over a storage one? An instant water heater is advantageous where hot water is only needed at one point and there is no space for a tank.
  • What is a buffer tank and what is it used for? A buffer tank stores heating water and balances output between the heat source (for example a heat pump or a solid fuel boiler) and the heating system.
