Frequently Asked Questions
- What is the difference between a mixed and an unmixed boiler module? An unmixed module connects the heating circuit directly to the boiler outlet without temperature control, while a mixed module contains a 3-way mixing valve (possibly with an actuator) that blends the return and flow water and thus regulates the temperature to the circuit.
- What does the DN designation mean for a boiler module? DN (nominal diameter) indicates the module's connection size, for example DN 25 or DN 32 - it must match the size of the horizontal manifold and the pipework in the boiler room.
- What is an apartment metering unit used for? An apartment metering unit enables metered billing of heat and water consumption in individual apartments of a residential building; it typically contains shut-off valves, a filter and a fitting for a heat meter or water meter.
- Can boiler modules from different manufacturers be combined on one manifold? The HEAT BLOC, IVAR.KS, MULTIMIX-C and PAW modules have different connection sizes and spacings, so they are combined within their own system and the relevant manifold, not with each other.
