Avansa
Avansa circulation pumps ensure the forced circulation of water in the heating circuit – they drive water from the heat source (boiler) to the radiators or underfloor heating and back. Without one, heat would only spread by gravity, slowly and unevenly.
Our range includes three-speed models with manual output switching as well as electronic AUTO models, which adjust their output automatically according to the current needs of the system, thereby reducing electricity consumption. The pumps are available with a 1" and 6/4" connection thread and in installation lengths of 130 and 180 mm.
How to choose the right pump
Three things matter when choosing:
- Head (lift) – the second number in the designation (e.g. 25-6/180 = 6 m). For a standard family house up to 150 m², 5–6 m is usually sufficient; for multi-storey houses or long piping runs, opt for 8 m.
- Connection thread and installation length – these must match the existing piping. If you are replacing an old pump, measure the distance between the union nuts (130 or 180 mm) and the thread diameter.
- Type of control – a classic three-speed pump is cheaper to buy, while an electronic AUTO pump pays off in electricity savings, especially in systems with thermostatic heads.
What not to forget during installation
The pump must be installed with the shaft horizontal – never with the terminal box facing downward, otherwise the bearings will not be lubricated properly and the service life will drop significantly. A filter should be installed before the pump to catch impurities from the system, and we also recommend shut-off valves on both sides so that any future replacement can be done without draining the entire circuit.
A connection cable is not supplied with the pumps – a standard two-core cable with a plug is sufficient. We recommend leaving the electrical connection and system balancing to a heating technician.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What is the difference between a standard and an AUTO Avansa pump? AUTO models feature electronic control that automatically adapts the output to the current demand of the heating system, thereby saving electricity compared with conventional 3-speed pumps.
- What connection thread do Avansa pumps have? The range includes models with a 1" as well as a 6/4" thread; choose according to the diameter of the existing pipework in your system.
- What is an Avansa circulation pump used for? It circulates water in the heating circuit (radiators, underfloor heating) between the heat source and the distribution pipework.
- Is a connecting cable supplied with the pump? No, a cable is not supplied with the pumps; an ordinary two-core cable with a plug purchased separately at an electrical store is sufficient.
