The elbow IVAR.IVN423 – 42 mm from the IVAR system made of stainless steel AISI 304 (1.4301) has a crimping collar with an EPDM O-ring at one end for a 42 mm tube. The other end is push-fit, with the tube diameter – you insert it directly into the crimping collar of another fitting of the same size and save the intermediate tube piece. It changes the direction by 45°, withstands pressure up to PN 16 and temperature from -20 °C to +120 °C.
Application
Closed heating and cooling circuits, solar systems, compressed air and vacuum lines, inert and technical gases, technical and operational liquids, industrial applications, waste and rainwater. The fitting is not intended for potable water – this is also indicated by a symbol on its body.
Installation
Cut the tube perpendicularly to the axis using a cutter or fine-toothed file (not a grinding wheel or flame), deburr it from the inside and outside, and insert it into the collar until it stops; mark the insertion depth with a marker. The push-fit end is inserted and crimped into the adjacent fitting in the same way. The 42 mm size is crimped using chain pliers with profile M (minimum 3 segments, usually with an adapter); the manufacturer does not accept single-piece pliers. The joint is crimped only once – repeated crimping may damage the sealing.
The orange stripe breaks during crimping, so you can easily identify an uncrimped joint at a glance. The LBP (Leak Before Press) O-ring also releases an uncrimped joint during pressure testing.
Before putting the system into operation, flush the entire circuit and follow the manufacturer's installation instructions. The version with crimping collars on both sides is type IVAR.IVN422.
