45° Elbow with One Sliding End IVAR.IVN423 – Stainless Steel AISI 304, 76.1 mm
Code: IVN423.76Product detailed description
The elbow IVAR.IVN423 – 76,1 mm from the IVAR system made of stainless steel AISI 304 (1.4301) has a crimped socket with an EPDM O-ring at one end for a 76,1 mm tube. The other end is push-in, with the tube diameter – you insert it directly into the socket of another fitting of the same size and save the intermediate tube piece. It changes the direction by 45°, withstands pressure up to PN 16 and temperature from -20 °C to +120 °C.
Application
Closed heating and cooling circuits, solar systems, compressed air and vacuum lines, inert and technical gases, technical and operational liquids, industrial applications, waste and rainwater. The fitting is not intended for potable water – this is also indicated by a symbol on its body.
Installation
Cut the tube perpendicularly to the axis with a cutter or fine-toothed file (not with a grinding wheel or flame), deburr it from inside and outside, and insert it into the socket until it stops; mark the insertion depth with a marker. The push-in end is inserted and crimped in the same way into the adjacent fitting. The size 76,1 mm is crimped with chain pliers with profile M (minimum 3 segments, usually with an adapter); the manufacturer does not accept single-piece pliers. The instructions recommend fixing the tube and fitting with clamps before crimping to ensure they are aligned. The joint is crimped only once – repeated crimping may damage the seal.
The color indicator and LBP O-ring are supplied only for sizes 15 to 54 mm. For size 76,1 mm, the crimping is complete when the end faces of the plier segments touch each other.
Before putting the system into operation, flush the entire circuit and follow the manufacturer’s installation instructions. The version with crimped sockets on both sides is type IVAR.IVN422.

Frequently asked questions
What is the push-in end of the IVAR.IVN423 elbow used for?
The push-in end has the tube diameter, i.e. 76,1 mm, and is inserted directly into the crimped socket of another fitting of the same size, which is then crimped. This allows you to connect the elbow to the fitting without an intermediate tube piece.
Can the IVAR.IVN423 fitting be used for potable water?
No. The stainless steel system AISI 304 is not intended for potable water by the manufacturer, which is also indicated by a symbol on the fitting body. It is intended for heating, cooling, solar systems, and technical media distribution.
What crimp pliers do I need for size 76,1 mm?
Chain pliers with profile M with at least three segments, usually with an adapter. The manufacturer does not accept single-piece pliers for diameters 42 to 108 mm.
Does the 76,1 mm fitting have a crimp indicator?
No, the colored stripe and LBP O-ring are supplied only for sizes 15 to 54 mm. Crimping is complete when the end faces of the plier segments touch each other.

IVAR designs, develops and manufactures highly energy-efficient heating and plumbing systems. We have over 10,000 catalogue items - mass-produced products and unique items - in addition to customised systems and combinations of complex products. And it’s all “Made in Italy”.
Vision
To make life easier for our clients, our clients' customers and our employees, thanks to our ability to be constantly innovative.
Mission
To design and manufacture advanced hydronic solutions that reduce installation complexity and energy consumption.
“Made in Italy” adds value
IVAR has been producing heating and plumbing system components since 1985: valves for heating bodies, direct heat metering modules, heat cost allocators, pipes and fittings, substations for heating systems, distribution manifolds, radiant panel systems, and components for solar and geothermal systems. And it’s all “Made in Italy”.
Over 200 people are employed at our manufacturing facilities in Prevalle (in northern Italy’s Brescia province). The site has been designed to streamline our many production and operational stages.
The Italian headquarters also acts as a hub for the wider IVAR Group, set up with the goal of distributing products beyond Italy’s borders. The group now has 11 branches, in Australia, Belgium, China, Germany, the United Kingdom, the Czech Republic, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, the United States and Tunisia.
Know How
Research, development and numerous laboratory tests guarantee that our clients’ requests can be translated into new high-efficiency products.
The stages required for production take place internally, beginning with hot forming, which is carried out at our subsidiary Valmon Stampati. Our continuous implementation of projects under the Industry 4.0 initiative also allows us to take full advantage of new releases in technology and IT to improve our manufacturing efficiency.
As a company, IVAR is constantly evolving. Every day, we invest in strengthening our products, in improving our production processes and in attaining new patents and certifications.
