90° reduced T-piece IVAR.IVN441 42-18-42 mm, crimped, stainless steel AISI 304
Code: IVN441.421842Product detailed description
Tee 90° IVAR.IVN441 42-18-42 mm is a reduced press-fit elbow made of stainless steel AISI 304 (material no. 1.4301). The running bores are 42 mm, the branch is 18 mm – this fitting allows you to connect a smaller branch to the main pipe without further reduction. All three ends are press-fit (press × press × press) and sealed with EPDM O-rings. The overall length of the fitting is 118 mm.
Where the Tee Can Be Used
- closed heating and cooling systems, solar circuits
- compressed air distribution, vacuum systems, inert and technical gases
- technical and operational liquids in industry
- drainage of waste and rainwater
The fitting is not suitable for potable water – this is also indicated by a symbol, which together with the logo AISI 304, dimensions and traceability code is marked directly on the fitting.
Operating Parameters
- maximum operating pressure PN 16, vacuum up to -0.8 bar (absolute pressure 0.2 bar)
- temperature from -20 °C, in normal operation up to +85 °C, maximum +120 °C
- anti-freeze mixture with a concentration of up to 50 %
Pressing and Connection Inspection
All three ends have a patented LBP (Leak Before Press) O-ring with a broken profile: while the connection is not pressed, liquid leaks during pressure testing, so you can detect the error before starting the system. Pressing is also indicated by an orange color stripe.
Pressing is done using M contour jaws. Warning: installation must be performed by a qualified person according to the installation and use instructions issued by the system manufacturer. Before putting the heating system into operation, the manufacturer strongly recommends to flush the entire system; for water treatment, the preparation GEL.LONG LIFE 100 is recommended.
In the IVAR.IVN441 range you will also find other combinations of dimensions from 18-15-18 mm up to 108-88.9-108 mm.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the IVAR.IVN441 42-18-42 mm Tee suitable for potable water?
No, stainless steel fittings of this series made of AISI 304 are not suitable for potable water and also carry a symbol indicating this. They are used, for example, in closed heating and cooling circuits, solar systems or for compressed air.
Which pipes are connected to this Tee?
Pipes of 42 mm diameter are pressed into the two running bores, and a pipe of 18 mm diameter is connected to the branch. All three ends are press-fit (press × press × press).
With what tool is the Tee pressed?
With pressing tools with M contour jaws. Connections must be made by a specialist according to the installation and use instructions from the system manufacturer.
How do I find out that a connection is not pressed?
All bores have an LBP O-ring, which releases liquid during pressure testing of an unpressed connection. Pressing is also indicated by an orange color stripe.

IVAR designs, develops and manufactures highly energy-efficient heating and plumbing systems. We have over 10,000 catalogue items - mass-produced products and unique items - in addition to customised systems and combinations of complex products. And it’s all “Made in Italy”.
Vision
To make life easier for our clients, our clients' customers and our employees, thanks to our ability to be constantly innovative.
Mission
To design and manufacture advanced hydronic solutions that reduce installation complexity and energy consumption.
“Made in Italy” adds value
IVAR has been producing heating and plumbing system components since 1985: valves for heating bodies, direct heat metering modules, heat cost allocators, pipes and fittings, substations for heating systems, distribution manifolds, radiant panel systems, and components for solar and geothermal systems. And it’s all “Made in Italy”.
Over 200 people are employed at our manufacturing facilities in Prevalle (in northern Italy’s Brescia province). The site has been designed to streamline our many production and operational stages.
The Italian headquarters also acts as a hub for the wider IVAR Group, set up with the goal of distributing products beyond Italy’s borders. The group now has 11 branches, in Australia, Belgium, China, Germany, the United Kingdom, the Czech Republic, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, the United States and Tunisia.
Know How
Research, development and numerous laboratory tests guarantee that our clients’ requests can be translated into new high-efficiency products.
The stages required for production take place internally, beginning with hot forming, which is carried out at our subsidiary Valmon Stampati. Our continuous implementation of projects under the Industry 4.0 initiative also allows us to take full advantage of new releases in technology and IT to improve our manufacturing efficiency.
As a company, IVAR is constantly evolving. Every day, we invest in strengthening our products, in improving our production processes and in attaining new patents and certifications.
