THERMIA ITEC XTR S PLUS (code IHP20784778) is an inverter heat pump system air/water: compact outdoor unit ITEC XTR S with natural refrigerant R290 and indoor unit PLUS. The hot water tank is selected separately – suitable where there is a heater from another manufacturer, larger than 180 l or with an electric element powered by photovoltaics.

Outdoor unit ITEC XTR S

• SCOP 5.10 at 35 °C and 3.60 at 55 °C in average climate (4.30 / 3.10 in cold climate), energy class A+++ for floor heating and A++ for radiators

Indoor unit PLUS

Compact wall-mounted unit with dimensions 417 × 258 × 727 mm and weight 21 kg contains control system, circulation pump, supply temperature sensor, three-way switching valve for heating/TV and integrated auxiliary heating 15 kW. Connected with copper pipe 28 mm. In the base it controls one direct and one mixed heating circuit, with an expansion card also a second mixed circuit and pool heating. Cooperation with photovoltaics is enabled by optional Smart Grid function, the device can be monitored remotely via Thermia Online.

Design and installation

Power is designed in Thermia HPC software; the ITEC XTR range is intended for new buildings and renovations with heat loss up to 18 kW. The outdoor unit with flammable refrigerant R290 is installed outside on a solid base with vibration dampers and in its safety zone there must not be windows, doors or ventilation openings. The heating system must be closed and pressurized, with a single safety valve 1.5 bar supplied with the outdoor unit and only with manual air vents. Minimum flow through the condenser is 7 l/min; the supplied flow sensor is installed inside near the outdoor unit and the return line includes a magnetic dirt separator. The communication cable between the units can be up to 30 m. Installation is performed by a professional company.

Version PLUS has an indoor unit without a tank, to which a separate hot water heater is connected. TOTAL includes a stainless steel tank 180 l with TWS technology and TOTAL COMPACT has the same equipment in a cabinet reduced to 1538 mm.
