Product detailed description

Combustion chamber (burner pot) for the Atmos A45 pellet burner

Partcombustion chamber (burner pot)
ApplicationAtmos A45 burner without pneumatic cleaning

If your Atmos A45 burner is equipped with pneumatic cleaning with a compressor, this part will not fit. For that version you need a different chamber: the combustion chamber for the Atmos A45 burner with pneumatic cleaning.

Before ordering, therefore, check which version of the burner you have, in particular whether it has pneumatic cleaning.

Frequently asked questions

  • How do I choose the right output for a solid fuel boiler? Start from the calculated heat loss of the heated building. With wood/coal boilers, however, also bear in mind that the boiler burns for several hours on a single load at essentially constant output - which is why it is common practice to add a buffer tank to the boiler, which stores the excess heat for later use instead of the boiler having to be throttled down inefficiently.
  • What else do I need to install this boiler? Besides the boiler itself, the system usually requires: a buffer (accumulation) tank of suitable volume, a circulation pump (often already with a built-in Laddomat or a thermostatic valve protecting the boiler against low-temperature corrosion), a safety valve, an expansion vessel and a flue/chimney with sufficient draught matching the boiler output - you will find the exact chimney draught values in the technical parameters above.
  • Which fuel is suitable and which is not? Use only the fuel recommended by the manufacturer for the given model (usually logs of a specified length and moisture content, or brown coal briquettes or coal, depending on the boiler type) - unsuitable or overly damp fuel reduces efficiency, increases the formation of tar and deposits, and can damage the boiler.
  • What about the chimney inspection and legislation? Before the boiler is put into operation, and also regularly during its use (usually once a year for solid fuels), an inspection/cleaning of the chimney by an authorised chimney sweep is required by law - without the relevant inspection certificate, an insurance claim in the event of a fire may be disputed.
  • How much maintenance does the boiler require? It usually includes regular removal of ash and cleaning of soot from the heat exchange surfaces/flue gas passages (the interval depends on intensity of use, usually in the order of weeks), and a thorough inspection once a year, including the seals and the chimney.
  • Can I install the boiler myself? The positioning and the connection of the boiler to the heating system, the chimney and the safety components should be carried out, or at least checked, by a qualified heating technician - this is an appliance with an open fire, high temperatures and pressure components, where a connection error can pose a safety risk.

Company History

The family company ATMOS was founded in the Czech Republic in 1935. In the beginning, production was focused on gasifier power units for cars and boats under the brand name DOKOGEN, i.e. the same principle used in modern gasifier boilers for wood and coal.

Despite the German occupation and communist dictatorship, it was possible to maintain the development of wood boilers, gasifier units and compressors. In 1980, at the Pragotherm exhibition, the first wood gasifier boilers and wood waste boilers were presented. To date, 90 types of hot water boilers have been developed, for which the company holds 15 patents. One of the first developed boilers was the EKONOMIK boiler in 1968.

To ensure the European market with quality boilers that save the environment and energy, three generations of the Cankář family are currently working in the family business. The founder of the company, Jaroslav Cankář senior, passed away in March 2006 at the age of 94.
