Detailed information

Product detailed description

- 25kW ecological wood gasification boiler – GENERATOR with built-in ACD04 weather-compensating control unit with touch display

– the Generator type is characterized by a special firebox, lined on both sides with ceramic moldings, fitted at the bottom with openings for the supply of preheated primary air, a gasification nozzle with openings for the supply of secondary air, and a lower combustion chamber with a spherical ceramic space. It is designed for burning wood on the principle of generator gasification using an extraction fan (S), which draws flue gases out of the boiler.

The boiler body is manufactured as a welded assembly of high-quality steel sheets with a thickness of 3 to 8 mm. It consists of a fuel hopper (6 mm) fitted at the bottom with a gasification nozzle with a longitudinal opening for the passage of flue gases and gases. The afterburner chamber below it is equipped with ceramic moldings for ideal burnout of all combustible substances with high efficiency and environmentally friendly combustion. At the rear of the boiler body there is a vertical flue gas duct, fitted at the top with a starting damper. The upper part of the flue gas duct is equipped with an exhaust neck for connection to the chimney.

Basic technical data Atmos DC25GS REG:

  • efficiency: 90.3%
  • required chimney draft: 23 Pa
  • boiler weight: 431 kg
  • water volume: 80 L
  • hopper capacity: 120 dm3
  • max. wood length: 530 mm
  • required fuel: dry wood with calorific value of 15 – 18 MJ/kg, diameter 80 – 150 mm and moisture content 12–20%
  • minimum return water temperature: 65 °C

  • combustion class: 5
  • energy efficiency class: A+
  • the boiler panel has a built-in
ACD04 weather-compensating control unit with a touch display, which can control
besides the boiler itself, also the boiler circuit, three heating circuits, DHW heating, solar system, etc. It is functionally identical to the separately sold ACD03 weather-compensating control unit

Note: This boiler can also be purchased in a cheaper version with basic control
- i.e. without the ACD04 weather-compensating control unit here: ATMOS DC25GS

Advantages of ATMOS wood gasification boilers:

  • possibility of burning large pieces of wood
  • large fuel hopper = long burning time
  • high efficiency
  • ecological combustion - boiler according to ČSN EN 303-5 class 4 and 5, ECODESIGN 2015/1189
  • extraction fan - dust-free ash removal, smoke-free boiler room
  • cooling loop against overheating - no risk of boiler damage
  • automatic boiler shutdown after fuel burnout - flue gas thermostat
  • convenient ash removal - large ceramic combustion space for ash (with wood, ash is removed once a week)
  • boiler without a tube bundle - easier cleaning
  • small dimensions and low weight
  • high quality

Frequently Asked Questions

  • How to choose the right output for a solid fuel boiler? Base your choice on the calculated heat loss of the heated building, but for wood/coal boilers also consider that the boiler burns for several hours on one filling at essentially constant output - it is therefore common practice to supplement the boiler with a buffer tank, which stores excess heat for later use instead of the boiler having to be inefficiently damped down.
  • What is a gasification boiler and how does it differ from a classic one? A gasification boiler burns wood in two stages - first, combustible gas (wood gas) is released by heat in the upper chamber, which is then burned out at high temperature together with supplied secondary air in the lower combustion chamber. The result is significantly higher efficiency and cleaner combustion (less tar and soot) compared to classic single-stage combustion in older boilers.
  • What else do I need for the installation of this boiler? In addition to the boiler itself, the system usually requires: a buffer (equalization) tank of appropriate volume, a circulation pump (often already with a built-in Laddomat or thermoregulatory valve against low-temperature corrosion of the boiler), a safety valve, an expansion vessel, and a flue/chimney with sufficient draft corresponding to the boiler output - exact draft values can be found in the technical parameters above.
  • What fuel is suitable and what is not? Use only fuel recommended by the manufacturer for the given model (usually split logs of defined length and moisture, or brown coal briquettes or coal depending on the boiler type) - unsuitable or too moist fuel reduces efficiency, increases tar and deposit formation, and can cause damage to the boiler.
  • What about chimney inspection and legislation? Before putting the boiler into operation, as well as regularly during its use (usually once a year for solid fuels), a chimney inspection/cleaning by an authorized chimney sweep is required by law - without the relevant inspection document, an insurance claim in the event of a fire may also be disputed.
  • How much maintenance does the boiler require? This usually includes regular removal of ash and cleaning of heating surfaces/flue gas paths from soot (interval depending on intensity of use, usually in the order of weeks), and once a year a thorough inspection including seals and the chimney.
  • Can I install the boiler myself? The actual placement and connection of the boiler to the heating system, chimney and safety elements should be carried out or at least professionally checked by a heating technician - this is a device with open flame, high temperatures and pressure elements, where an installation error can be a safety risk.

Company History

The family company ATMOS was founded in the Czech Republic in 1935. In the beginning, production was focused on gasifier power units for cars and boats under the brand name DOKOGEN, i.e. the same principle used in modern gasifier boilers for wood and coal.

Despite the German occupation and communist dictatorship, it was possible to maintain the development of wood boilers, gasifier units and compressors. In 1980, at the Pragotherm exhibition, the first wood gasifier boilers and wood waste boilers were presented. To date, 90 types of hot water boilers have been developed, for which the company holds 15 patents. One of the first developed boilers was the EKONOMIK boiler in 1968.

To ensure the European market with quality boilers that save the environment and energy, three generations of the Cankář family are currently working in the family business. The founder of the company, Jaroslav Cankář senior, passed away in March 2006 at the age of 94.

Company ATMOS – present

Atmos is a Czech family company and currently one of the largest European manufacturers of solid fuel boilers. The company exports more than 60% of its production abroad, mainly to Germany, Austria, Sweden, Italy, France, Romania, Poland, Bulgaria, Denmark, Slovakia, Lithuania, Latvia, Ukraine, Belarus, Spain, the United Kingdom, etc.

The product range includes solid fuel boilers, gasification boilers for wood from 15 to 150 kW, gasification boilers for brown coal (and wood) from 16 to 48 kW, gasification boiler for brown coal briquettes and black coal with a power of 16 and 26 kW, automatic pellet boilers from 4.5 to 80 kW and combined boilers for gasification of wood in combination with a pellet burner in power from 20 to 35 kW. Products of the company Atmos have aroused great interest among users heating with wood and installers, due to their good functionality, quality and, last but not least, very favorable price.

The goal of the company ATMOS is to be one of the best boiler manufacturers in Europe. To be a company that values its tradition, experience and the ATMOS brand
