The IVAR.749 panel, code EEB749II, belongs to the M7 range of wall controls for IVAR fan coils. It is an electronic LED thermostat with touch keys that measures room temperature and humidity and manages the main functions of the unit, including fan speed. It is wired to the fan coil's control board over the RS485 bus, so one panel can serve up to 16 units with the same board.
What the panel controls
- the desired room temperature from 16 to 28 °C in 0.5 °C steps,
- heating or cooling mode and automatic mode, in which the fan speed adapts to the difference between room and set temperature,
- minimum and maximum fan speed and the air outlet flap,
- standby with frost protection – if the room temperature drops below 5 °C, the hot water valve and the heat source are switched on.
Settings are kept in the panel's own memory even after a power cut. After 20 seconds without use, the display dims and shows only the room temperature.
Connection and compatibility
The panel is powered from the unit's control board via the + and − terminals, and the data wires go to terminals A and B with the polarity observed. The RS485 bus needs a two-core cable routed separately from power lines; a shielded cable is recommended. The manufacturer lists compatibility with the ESE745II board (two-pipe system) and ESE748II (four-pipe system); for IVAR.FARNA and FARNA BIG the ESE045II board is available for connecting LED panels. The panel and the units must be paired. If the fan coil has a built-in touch panel (for example ECA044II or EWA044II on the FARNA range), its display is used for indication only once the wall panel is connected.
Installation
The panel is supplied assembled and fits into a 503 flush back box on an interior wall, about 1.5 m above the floor, away from windows, doors, heat sources and direct sunlight. Fan coils are supplied only with built-in control boards; the wall panel is ordered separately. Electrical connection should be made by a qualified person.

According to the manufacturer's compatibility table, to the ESE745II board in two-pipe and ESE748II in four-pipe systems. For IVAR.FARNA and FARNA BIG fan coils the ESE045II board is intended for LED panels.

Up to 16 units with the same control board. They are linked by a two-core RS485 bus cable, routed separately from power cables, observing the A and B polarity.
