Two-pump station ESYBOX MAX

The DAB 2 ESYBOX MAX 45/120 T assembly combines two ESYBOX MAX 45/120 T pumping units on a double base 2 ESYDOCK MAX; according to IVAR, the complete assembly also includes a control panel and a bracket. It is designed to increase water pressure in residential homes, commercial buildings and high-rise buildings. According to the manufacturer, the combined operation of two units provides high performance with up to 50% less space requirements than traditional systems of comparable performance.

After setting the first pump, the second one synchronizes automatically; the control panel alternates the pumps, starts both at higher consumption and one can be set as a backup. For units with 3 × 380–480 V power supply, the manufacturer specifies the E2G7 T 400V control panel with thermal-magnetic circuit breakers, which can be mounted on the wall or on the units using a bracket. The station is 811 mm wide, 384 mm deep and 766 mm high (1172 mm with the panel on the bracket), with 2" internal thread connections.

According to the manufacturer's performance table, the pair of 45/120 units achieves a head of 58 m at a flow rate of 9.6 m³/h, 45 m at 14.4 m³/h, 23 m at 22.8 m³/h and 7 m at 28.8 m³/h. For each unit, the maximum differential pressure is 5.7 bar, power P1 max 1.93 kW (2.59 HP) and rated current 3.4 A.

Construction and control

• frequency converter with pressure sensors on the suction and discharge maintains a constant pressure of 1–12 bar (3 bar from the factory)
• large display, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, DConnect app for settings, alarms and consumption overview
• protections against dry running, overheating, freezing, blocking, cycling and abnormal current or voltage
• esy I/O module (accessory) for connection to building management system (BMS)

Operating conditions

Clean, non-viscous, non-aggressive and chemically neutral water without solid and abrasive particles up to +50 °C, environment up to +55 °C, inlet pressure up to 5 bar, rated pressure PN 12. The pump is not self-priming – it draws from a tank or boosts pressure from a water supply; when installed above the water level, the suction height with a check valve is up to 4 m. Fixed installation in a vertical position, motor protection IPX5, insulation class F. Thanks to WRAS, ACS and NSF61 certificates, it is also suitable for potable water.

Electrical wiring and commissioning should be carried out by a qualified professional; the supply must be protected by a residual current device with I Δn ≤ 30 mA.
