Two-pump station ESYBOX MAX

The assembly DAB 2 ESYBOX MAX 60/120 M combines two ESYBOX MAX 60/120 M pumping units on a dual base 2 ESYDOCK MAX; according to IVAR, the complete assembly also includes a control panel and a bracket. It is designed for increasing water pressure in residential homes, commercial buildings and high-rise buildings. According to the manufacturer, the combined operation of two units provides high performance with up to 50% less space requirements than traditional systems of comparable performance.

After setting the first pump, the second one synchronizes automatically; the control alternates the pumps, starts both at higher consumption and one can be set as a backup. For units with power supply 1 × 208–240 V, the manufacturer specifies the control panel E2G5,2 M 230V with thermomagnetic circuit breakers, which can be mounted on the wall or on the units via a bracket. The station is 811 mm wide, 384 mm deep and 766 mm high (1172 mm with panel on bracket), the connections have an internal thread of 2".

According to the performance table of the manufacturer, the pair of units 60/120 achieves a head of 69 m at a flow of 12 m³/h, 53 m at 16.8 m³/h, 37.2 m at 22.8 m³/h and 3.9 m at 34.8 m³/h. For each unit, the maximum differential pressure is 6.7 bar, power P1 max 2.68 kW (3.6 HP) and rated current 12.5–11.5 A.

Construction and control

• motor with permanent magnets cooled by pumped water, motor housing and shaft made of stainless steel, efficiency at the level of class IE5 according to internal tests by the manufacturer
• frequency converter with pressure sensors on the suction and discharge maintains a constant pressure of 1–12 bar (3 bar from the factory)
• large display, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, DConnect app for settings, alarms and consumption overview
• protections against dry running, overheating, freezing, blocking, cycling and in case of abnormal current or voltage
• esy I/O module (accessory) for connection to the building management system (BMS)

Operating conditions

Clean, non-viscous, non-aggressive and chemically neutral water without solid and abrasive particles up to +50 °C, environment up to +55 °C, inlet pressure up to 5 bar, rated pressure PN 12. The pump is not self-priming – it draws from a tank or boosts pressure from a water supply; when installed above the water level, the suction height with a check valve is up to 4 m. Fixed installation in vertical position, motor protection IPX5, insulation class F. Thanks to WRAS, ACS and NSF61 certificates, it is suitable for potable water as well.

Electrical connection and commissioning should be carried out by a qualified professional; the supply must be protected by a residual current device with I Δn ≤ 30 mA.
