DAB EVOPLUS SMALL 40/180 SAN M – electronic circulation pump for hot water, bronze body, 1 1/2"

Product detailed description

The pump EVOPLUS SMALL 40/180 SAN M (code 60151144) is the SAN version of the DAB EVOPLUS SMALL range. It differs from standard models by its bronze body, which allows the manufacturer to specify it for potable water – typically for the circulation loop of hot water. The electronics continuously monitor changes in hydraulic conditions in the system and adjust the motor speed accordingly to ensure circulation operates with the lowest possible energy consumption.

Model parameters

• max. delivery head 4.0 m, max. flow rate 6.0 m³/h
• max. power P1 70 W, power supply 1 × 220–240 V, 50/60 Hz
• threaded connection 1 1/2" on the body, coupling (standard 1" with internal thread) according to the technical sheet on order
• mounting length 180 mm, weight 2.8 kg

Control and regulation

From the factory, it is set to proportional differential pressure (ΔP-v), at which the manufacturer states the best energy efficiency index. Constant differential pressure (ΔP-c) and constant curve mode with fixed speed are also available. For the SAN version, the manufacturer describes the constant temperature mode, which maintains the desired water temperature in the circulation pipe without thermostatic valves. The settings are made on an OLED display with four navigation buttons; remote control (0–10 V, PWM, 4–20 mA, ModBus) is enabled by optional expansion modules.

Operating conditions

• fluid temperature −10 to +110 °C, ambient temperature max. +40 °C
• max. operating pressure 16 bar
• protection class IP44, insulation class F
• clean liquid without solid particles and mineral oils

The pump is mounted with the motor shaft in a horizontal position. The motor is protected against overload, overheating, overvoltage, and undervoltage, so external motor protection is not required. Electrical wiring and grounding must be performed by a qualified technician.

Frequently asked questions

Is the EVOPLUS SMALL 40/180 SAN M pump suitable for potable water?
Yes. The SAN version has a bronze body and, according to the manual, is intended for potable water, for example, for circulation of hot water. Cast iron models of EVOPLUS without the SAN designation are not intended for hot water use.

Is the coupling included in the delivery?
The technical sheet lists the coupling as an accessory on order, standard with an internal thread of 1". The pump itself has a 1 1/2" thread on the body and a mounting length of 180 mm.

How should the pump be properly installed?
The motor shaft must be horizontal and the electronics in a vertical position. The direction of flow is indicated by an arrow on the body; it is recommended to install closing valves on both the suction and discharge sides, which will facilitate inspection and maintenance.
