DAB.EVOPLUS B 40/240.50 M (code 60150970) is a wet rotor circulation pump with a synchronous motor with permanent magnets, whose speed is controlled by a frequency converter. It belongs to the EVOPLUS range intended for larger heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems – apartment and single-family houses, schools, hospitals or administrative buildings. This model has a simple flanged version with a single-phase motor, DN 50 connection and a construction length of 240 mm.

Performance of the EVOPLUS B 40/240.50 M model

The pump achieves a pumping head of up to 4 m and a flow rate of up to 20.27 m³/h, with a maximum input power P1 of 140 W. Construction

The pump body is made of cast iron, the impeller from a technical polymer and the stainless steel shaft rotates in ceramic bearings lubricated by the pumped liquid; the motor housing is made of pressure-cast aluminium. The suction and discharge nozzles have threaded connections for pressure and temperature measurement. Thermal insulation of the body is part of the delivery – it limits heat losses and condensation formation, so the pump can also handle cooling circuits with liquid colder than the surroundings. The motor does not require external protection: the electronics protects it against overload, overheating, phase failure and overvoltage and undervoltage.

Installation and operating conditions

The pump must always be installed with the motor shaft in a horizontal position, the control electronics must be in a vertical position and must not be insulated. The pumped liquid must be clean, without solid particles and mineral oils, with a glycol content of at most 30 % and a temperature from −10 to +110 °C; the ambient temperature may be at most 40 °C. The maximum operating pressure is 16 bar and at least 10 m w.c. must be maintained on the suction side at 90 °C, or 20 m w.c. at 110 °C. Flanges DN 50 PN 10 are not part of the packaging, they are supplied on request. The cast iron version is not suitable for potable water. Electrical connection (1 × 220–240 V, 50/60 Hz) and commissioning must be carried out by a qualified person.
