The IVAR.TAD 022 thermostat controls the temperature in a single room – typically with underfloor heating or cooling, where it uses a volt-free contact to switch thermoelectric actuators, a pump or a heat source. It runs on safe 24 V AC, which makes it a good fit for systems with a shared 24 V power supply, for example at the manifold wiring centre.
The wide blue backlit display shows the measured and set temperature as well as the selected mode. A single button switches between Comfort and Setback modes; once the unit is switched off, frost protection with an adjustable temperature stays active. Temperature is measured by the internal sensor, and an optional external STAD01 or STLD01 sensor (NTC 10 kΩ) can be connected on a cable up to 15 m long – this requires a JST connector, which is ordered separately.
