Base of the compact distribution station
VARIMIX is a modular IVAR system for heat sources, primarily designed for heat pumps and for heating and cooling. The IVAR.VAR 30 distribution manifold in a 3-way configuration connects the heat source with the VARIMIX boiler modules – the non-mixing IVAR.VAR 10, the mixing IVAR.VAR 20, and the module with a thermostatic insert IVAR.VAR 21 – and with a hydraulic separator. The modules are mounted directly on top and bottom without additional fittings; 7 connection positions are available.
Construction
- two separate chambers for supply and return, with an air gap of 2.2 mm between them, limiting heat transfer
- on both ends, a 6/4" M connection for the heat source or hydraulic separator, modules are connected using G 1" slip-on nuts
- module connection pitch 125 mm, dimensions with insulation 825 × 262 × 110 mm
- supply and return can be swapped by rotating the manifold
- delivered with an EPP insulation jacket, wall mounting material, and brass plugs with EPDM sealing for unused openings
Application and installation
The manifold is intended exclusively for heating and cooling circuits with heating water, not for potable water. It is mounted on a dry, load-bearing wall protected from frost and UV radiation, with thermal separation from the wall. When cooling, the EPP insulation prevents condensation; the temperature of the cooling water should generally not drop below +15 to +16 °C. EPDM seals must not come into contact with mineral oils. Installation and commissioning should be carried out by a qualified professional.
