The DAB DIVERTRON 650 A (code 60203223) is a compact submersible pump with a diameter of 160 mm whose control unit is built directly into the pump body. It starts automatically when a tap is opened and switches off with a short delay once the draw-off stops – the pressure switch and flow sensor are part of the pump. It is designed to supply water to garden lines and irrigation systems, cottages, holiday homes and smaller households from a well, borehole, cistern or rainwater tank.

A version with float

The A version has an integrated level float switch and an open suction filter that retains solid particles larger than 3 mm. When the level drops and the float is in its lower position, the pump will not start; with sufficient water it runs normally on demand. Leave at least 3 cm between the float’s extreme position and the wall of the well or tank.

Protection functions

• factory-set cut-in pressure of 1.8 bar, switch-off 10 s after the draw-off ends
• dry-running protection via the float – at low water level the pump does not start at all
• anti-false-start function for air bubbles in the water and an hourly check of the non-return valve
• non-return valve built into the delivery, capacitor and motor thermal protection with automatic reset after cooling

Performance and installation

The motor, with a power input of 630 W and a P2 output of 0.42 kW, reaches a head of 30.4 m at zero flow and 23 m at 2.4 m³/h; maximum flow is 6 m³/h. The body and impellers are made of corrosion-resistant technopolymer and the shaft of stainless steel; protection rating IP 68, insulation class F. The delivery has a 1" thread and a four-piece connection reducer is included. The pump is installed vertically – fixed or portable – with a maximum immersion of 12 m on the 15 m H07RN-F cable with plug. A hose of at least 1" and a small 0.5 – 2 l pressure vessel from the accessories are recommended. The circuit must be protected by an RCD with IΔn ≤ 30 mA and be properly earthed.

What kind of water can it pump?
Only clean water at 0 to 40 °C without abrasive substances and with particles of no more than 3 mm. It is not suitable for seawater, sludge, oils or flammable liquids.
