The DAB DIVERTRON X 650 (code 60209611) is a compact submersible pump with a diameter of 160 mm whose control unit is built directly into the pump body. It starts automatically when a tap is opened and switches off with a short delay once the draw-off stops – the pressure switch and flow sensor are part of the pump. It is designed to supply water to garden lines and irrigation systems, cottages, holiday homes and smaller households from a well, borehole, cistern or rainwater tank.

X version with suction kit

The X version has a closed filter with a base plate and a connection with a 1" female thread and brass insert, to which the suction kit with float is attached. The 1 m kit is supplied – thanks to it the pump can operate close to the bottom of the well or tank without drawing in settled mud and dirt.

Protection functions

• factory-set cut-in pressure of 1.8 bar, switch-off 10 s after the draw-off ends
• dry-running protection with automatic restart attempts
• anti-false-start function for air bubbles in the water and an hourly check of the non-return valve
• non-return valve built into the delivery, capacitor and motor thermal protection with automatic reset after cooling

Performance and installation

The motor, with a power input of 630 W and a P2 output of 0.42 kW, reaches a head of 30.4 m at zero flow and 23 m at 2.4 m³/h; maximum flow is 6 m³/h. The body and impellers are made of corrosion-resistant technopolymer and the shaft of stainless steel; protection rating IP 68, insulation class F. The delivery has a 1" thread and a four-piece connection reducer is included. The pump is installed vertically – fixed or portable – with a maximum immersion of 12 m on the 15 m H07RN-F cable with plug. A hose of at least 1" and a small 0.5 – 2 l pressure vessel from the accessories are recommended. The circuit must be protected by an RCD with IΔn ≤ 30 mA and be properly earthed.

Does the DIVERTRON X 650 pump need a separate pressure switch?
No, the pressure switch and flow sensor are part of the pump electronics, which switch it on demand. The manufacturer only recommends adding a small auxiliary pressure vessel of 0.5 to 2 l.

What is the included suction kit for?
It connects to the closed X filter and has a float. The pump can then work close to the bottom of the well or tank without drawing in mud and settled dirt.

How deep can the pump be submerged?
Up to 12 m, which corresponds to the supplied 15 m cable. Hang the pump on a rope through the dedicated opening, never by the handle or the cable.

What kind of water can it pump?
Only clean water at 0 to 40 °C without abrasive substances and with particles of no more than 3 mm. It is not suitable for seawater, sludge, oils or flammable liquids.
