Frequently asked questions

  • How can I verify that the "Exhaust Fan Impeller Ø 150 mm S0141" fits my appliance exactly? The most reliable way is to compare the exact type/catalogue designation from the rating plate of your appliance (boiler, storage tank, water heater) with the compatibility stated directly in the name of this product (brand Atmos) and in its technical parameters above. If in doubt, send us the exact type designation of your appliance (including the serial number, if applicable) and we will gladly check the compatibility for you.
  • Why is it important to use the original/compatible part rather than a universal replacement? Parts such as gaskets, sensors or safety components (safety valves, thermal fuses) are usually rated precisely for the parameters of the specific appliance (pressure, temperature, electrical resistance of the sensor) - an incorrect part may cause reduced functionality, leaks, or, in the case of safety components, a real safety risk.
  • Does this part have to be installed by a professional? For simpler mechanical parts (e.g. gaskets, covers, small accessories with no connection to electricity, gas or the pressure part), a skilled DIYer can usually handle the replacement after disconnecting the appliance from the power supply and piping. For any work on the gas, electrical or pressure part of the appliance (e.g. sensors directly in the combustion chamber, safety valves, electrical modules), however, we always recommend a service technician - especially as such work could affect the warranty on the whole appliance.
  • How do I know that this part is worn and needs replacing? Common signs are visible wear/cracking (on gaskets and rubber parts), water or flue gas leaking at the part, an error message on the controller display (on sensors and electronic modules), or clearly reduced functionality of the appliance (e.g. irregular combustion with burner parts). If in doubt, it is safest to have the condition assessed by a service technician during the regular annual inspection.
  • Is it worth keeping this part at home as a spare? For parts that are normally subject to wear (gaskets, fuses, small mechanical parts) and whose failure would mean a heating or hot water outage, keeping a spare is a sensible precaution - especially for an older appliance, for which it may be harder to source the part quickly.

Company History

The family company ATMOS was founded in the Czech Republic in 1935. In the beginning, production was focused on gasifier power units for cars and boats under the brand name DOKOGEN, i.e. the same principle used in modern gasifier boilers for wood and coal.

Despite the German occupation and communist dictatorship, it was possible to maintain the development of wood boilers, gasifier units and compressors. In 1980, at the Pragotherm exhibition, the first wood gasifier boilers and wood waste boilers were presented. To date, 90 types of hot water boilers have been developed, for which the company holds 15 patents. One of the first developed boilers was the EKONOMIK boiler in 1968.

To ensure the European market with quality boilers that save the environment and energy, three generations of the Cankář family are currently working in the family business. The founder of the company, Jaroslav Cankář senior, passed away in March 2006 at the age of 94.
