Flanged stainless steel ball valve BRA.02.622 – DN 80, L = 180 mm, for water
Code: I02622080Product detailed description
Ball valve for water, heating and industry
BRA.02.622 is a flanged ball valve with a split body made of stainless steel, designed for full opening or closing of a DN 80 pipe. It is used in potable water systems, heating and air conditioning (HVAC), district heating, water treatment, chemical and industrial environments, compressed air systems, fire extinguishing systems, and for oils and hydrocarbons. It can be installed in the pipeline run or at its end.
Features
- body and flanges made of stainless steel ASTM A351 CF8M, ball and stem made of AISI 316
- ball sealing with reinforced PTFE, stem sealed with PTFE and two FKM (Viton®) O-rings
- full flow with low pressure loss, Kv 947 m³/h
- anti-static and fire-safe design, lockable stainless steel lever with PVC coating
- integrated flange according to STN EN ISO 5211 for actuators, torque 75 Nm
- certified for potable water, ATEX according to Directive 2014/34/EU
Installation and operation
The valve is inserted between flanges with gaskets, the distance between the flanges must correspond to its length of 180 mm and the bolts are tightened gradually in a crisscross pattern; the flanges of the valve must not be welded. Use it only in fully open or closed position – it is not suitable for flow regulation or for steam. Regular full-range rotation (once to twice per quarter for water) prevents the settling of impurities; the manufacturer recommends replacing the O-rings and PTFE seats at least once every 24 months.

Frequently asked questions
Can I use the valve to regulate flow?
No. The ball valve BRA.02.622 must be used fully open or fully closed and is not suitable for steam either.
Can an actuator be mounted on the valve?
Yes, the integrated flange according to STN EN ISO 5211 allows the installation of a gear with a hand wheel, electric or pneumatic actuator. The manufacturer recommends multiplying the torque of 75 Nm by a factor of 1.5 when selecting an actuator.
How often should the valve be operated and maintained?
In water systems, the manufacturer recommends rotating the valve through its full range once to twice per quarter. It is advisable to replace the rubber O-rings and PTFE seats at least every 24 months.

IVAR designs, develops and manufactures highly energy-efficient heating and plumbing systems. We have over 10,000 catalogue items - mass-produced products and unique items - in addition to customised systems and combinations of complex products. And it’s all “Made in Italy”.
Vision
To make life easier for our clients, our clients' customers and our employees, thanks to our ability to be constantly innovative.
Mission
To design and manufacture advanced hydronic solutions that reduce installation complexity and energy consumption.
“Made in Italy” adds value
IVAR has been producing heating and plumbing system components since 1985: valves for heating bodies, direct heat metering modules, heat cost allocators, pipes and fittings, substations for heating systems, distribution manifolds, radiant panel systems, and components for solar and geothermal systems. And it’s all “Made in Italy”.
Over 200 people are employed at our manufacturing facilities in Prevalle (in northern Italy’s Brescia province). The site has been designed to streamline our many production and operational stages.
The Italian headquarters also acts as a hub for the wider IVAR Group, set up with the goal of distributing products beyond Italy’s borders. The group now has 11 branches, in Australia, Belgium, China, Germany, the United Kingdom, the Czech Republic, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, the United States and Tunisia.
Know How
Research, development and numerous laboratory tests guarantee that our clients’ requests can be translated into new high-efficiency products.
The stages required for production take place internally, beginning with hot forming, which is carried out at our subsidiary Valmon Stampati. Our continuous implementation of projects under the Industry 4.0 initiative also allows us to take full advantage of new releases in technology and IT to improve our manufacturing efficiency.
As a company, IVAR is constantly evolving. Every day, we invest in strengthening our products, in improving our production processes and in attaining new patents and certifications.
