Flat buffer tank IVAR.PUFFER 50 KOMPAKT – 50 l, for heating and cooling – SALE
Code: IVAPUF50KRelated products
Product detailed description
The IVAR.PUFFER 50 KOMPAKT (code IVAPUF50K) is an ultra-flat buffer tank with a 50 l capacity for heating and cooling systems. Two heat sources, such as a heat pump and a gas boiler, connect on the primary side and two distribution boiler modules on the secondary side – so the tank also works as a hydraulic separator.
Design
- two chambers divided by a partition plus an internal zone separator for optimum stratification
- heat pump connection for flow rates up to 4.5 m³/h, using the full tank volume
- 6/4" socket for an electric heating element up to 3 kW, for example where no boiler is available
- 4 × 5/4" for the primary heat sources, 4 × 1" for the boiler modules or a magnetic dirt separator kit
- S235 steel with cataphoresis coating, 40 mm EPP insulation (λ 0.034 W/mK)
Installation and accessories
The tank hangs on the wall on the supplied bracket; by turning it through 180° you can choose a left or right connection, provided flow and return stay correctly connected. Also supplied are an automatic air vent, a 1/2" male sensor pocket, gaskets, screws and 6/4" plugs. Options include the IVAR.DIRT 50 magnetic dirt separator kit, plug and fitting sets and 1500, 2000 or 3000 W heating elements. Before commissioning, the manufacturer recommends flushing the entire system thoroughly.

Frequently asked questions
Which heat sources can be connected to the tank?
Two primary heat sources, for example a heat pump with up to 4.5 m³/h and a gas boiler. If there is no second source, an electric heating element of up to 3 kW can be added.
Is the tank also suitable for cooling?
Yes, thanks to its full EPP thermal insulation it can be installed in both heating and cooling systems.
What is in the box?
The tank with insulation, wall bracket, automatic air vent, sensor pocket, gaskets, screws, 6/4" plugs and instructions. 1/2" male plugs are not included.
Can the connection side be chosen?
Yes, the tank can be turned through 180° and connected on the left or right, as long as flow and return remain correctly connected.

IVAR designs, develops and manufactures highly energy-efficient heating and plumbing systems. We have over 10,000 catalogue items - mass-produced products and unique items - in addition to customised systems and combinations of complex products. And it’s all “Made in Italy”.
Vision
To make life easier for our clients, our clients' customers and our employees, thanks to our ability to be constantly innovative.
Mission
To design and manufacture advanced hydronic solutions that reduce installation complexity and energy consumption.
“Made in Italy” adds value
IVAR has been producing heating and plumbing system components since 1985: valves for heating bodies, direct heat metering modules, heat cost allocators, pipes and fittings, substations for heating systems, distribution manifolds, radiant panel systems, and components for solar and geothermal systems. And it’s all “Made in Italy”.
Over 200 people are employed at our manufacturing facilities in Prevalle (in northern Italy’s Brescia province). The site has been designed to streamline our many production and operational stages.
The Italian headquarters also acts as a hub for the wider IVAR Group, set up with the goal of distributing products beyond Italy’s borders. The group now has 11 branches, in Australia, Belgium, China, Germany, the United Kingdom, the Czech Republic, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, the United States and Tunisia.
Know How
Research, development and numerous laboratory tests guarantee that our clients’ requests can be translated into new high-efficiency products.
The stages required for production take place internally, beginning with hot forming, which is carried out at our subsidiary Valmon Stampati. Our continuous implementation of projects under the Industry 4.0 initiative also allows us to take full advantage of new releases in technology and IT to improve our manufacturing efficiency.
As a company, IVAR is constantly evolving. Every day, we invest in strengthening our products, in improving our production processes and in attaining new patents and certifications.
