FRESIA Monoblock AC FRESIA-3.5KW/P/W is an air conditioner that hangs entirely on the interior wall – it needs no outdoor unit on the façade and no refrigerant piping between two units. It draws in and blows out the air used to dissipate heat through two openings in the exterior wall, and only two cover grilles are visible from outside. It is a solution for flats in apartment buildings, heritage zones and façades where an outdoor unit is not permitted or there is nowhere to put it.

In summer it cools with an output of 3.5 kW (EER 2.6, energy class A); in spring, autumn and winter it heats as a heat pump with an output of 2.93 kW (COP 3.6, class A+). At low outdoor temperatures it is assisted by additional 1,000 W electric PTC heating, giving a total of up to 3.93 kW of heat. Further modes are dehumidification and fan only.

The unit uses the natural refrigerant R290 (propane) with a GWP of only 3. The circuit with a 290 g charge is hermetically sealed at the factory and no refrigerant is handled during installation – there is no need to join pipes, evacuate the system or top up gas. The user must not interfere with the refrigerant circuit; servicing is for a qualified person.

Most of the condensate evaporates automatically, and the rest drains outside through a separate Ø25 mm opening. The quiet mode is suitable for night time, and the sound power level of the unit according to the label is 60 dB.

Installation

• The unit is mounted on an exterior (perimeter) wall because it discharges air straight outside through the rear.
• Two Ø180 mm core holes are drilled in the wall; the supplied 240 × 180 mm plastic liners are rolled into a duct shape and fitted into the openings.
• A Ø25 mm opening sloping outwards is used to drain condensate.
• Dimensions 1000 × 585 × 205 mm (W × H × D), net weight 45 kg – installation requires two people and a load-bearing wall.
• Power supply 220–240 V~, 50 Hz; power input in cooling 1,340 W, in heating without PTC 815 W.
• Installation can be handled by an experienced installer or electrician; if you are unsure whether the wall is suitable, consult a professional.

Control

LED display with temperature and mode, touch panel, remote control (2 AAA batteries included), Wi-Fi app with extended functions, on and off timer and three fan speeds. The temperature can be set in the range of 16–30 °C.
