FRESIA Monoblock AC FRESIA-3.5KW/P/W is an air conditioner that is entirely mounted on the interior wall – it does not require an external unit on the façade or cooling pipes between two units. The air for heat discharge is drawn in and expelled through two openings in the perimeter wall; from the outside, only two cover grilles are visible. This is a solution for apartments in apartment buildings, heritage zones and façades, where an external unit is not permitted or there is no space for it.

In summer, it cools with a power of 3.5 kW (EER 2.6, energy class A), in the transitional period and in winter it heats as a heat pump with a power of 2.93 kW (COP 3.6, class A+). At low outside temperatures, an additional electric PTC heater of 1 000 W helps, together providing up to 3.93 kW of heat. Other modes include dehumidification and the fan itself.

The unit uses natural refrigerant R290 (propane) with GWP of only 3. The circuit with a charge of 290 g is hermetically sealed from the factory and no work with the refrigerant is required during installation – there is no need to connect pipes, evacuate or top up the gas. The user must not interfere with the refrigeration circuit; servicing should be carried out by a qualified person.

Most of the condensate evaporates automatically, the remainder drains through a separate opening Ø25 mm outside. The quiet mode is suitable for night use, the acoustic power of the unit according to the label is 60 dB.

Installation

• The unit is mounted on an external (perimeter) wall, as the air is discharged directly outside from the rear side.
• Two core drillings Ø180 mm are made in the wall; the supplied plastic inserts 240 × 180 mm are rolled into a pipe shape and installed into the openings.
• An opening Ø25 mm with a slope towards the outside serves for condensate discharge.
• Dimensions 1000 × 585 × 205 mm (W × H × D), net weight 45 kg – two people and a load-bearing wall are required for installation.
• Power supply 220–240 V~, 50 Hz; power consumption in cooling 1 340 W, in heating without PTC 815 W.
• Installation can be handled by an experienced installer or electrician; if you have doubts about the suitability of the wall, consult a specialist.

Control

LED display with temperature and mode, touch panel, remote control (2 AAA batteries are included in the packaging), Wi-Fi app with extended functions, on/off timer and three fan speeds. You can set the temperature in the range of 16–30 °C.

Common questions

For what room is it sufficient?
The unit is suitable for rooms with an area of more than 15 m² – typically a living room, bedroom, office or hotel room.

When can it be used?
At room temperatures of 7–35 °C; dehumidification works at temperatures above 17 °C.

Is a certified technician for refrigerants required for installation?
The circuit is sealed from the factory and is not opened during installation, so installation is construction-electrical (drilling of openings, mounting, plugging into a socket). Interference with the refrigeration circuit during servicing belongs to a qualified person.
