Angle ball valve for gas 3/4" FM with butterfly handle – IVAR.G 59/1
Code: I09800019FMRelated products
Product detailed description
The IVAR.G 59/1 valve in size 3/4" FM is an angle shut-off fitting for installations carrying fuel gases of families I, II and III. Its angle shape makes it convenient wherever the pipework changes direction.
Features
- connection 3/4" FM – female and male thread (to EN 10226-1, ISO 7/1 and ISO 228)
- max. operating pressure 5 bar, temperature -20 °C to +60 °C
- medium: natural gas, town gas, LPG
- body in nickel-plated brass CW617N, diamond-polished ball, PTFE seals and O-rings
- butterfly handle in yellow lacquered aluminium, 90° turn
- tested by SZÚ Brno to EN 331, weight 300 g
Installation and use
Seal the threads with a material complying with EN 751 (PTFE tape, PTFE cord or thread, sealing paste or gel); hemp is not recommended. When tightening, hold the valve body against the direction of pipe rotation and support the pipework so that its weight does not load the threads. Always operate the valve fully open or fully closed and turn it through its full range once a year.
Gas fittings may only be installed by a trained and certified company in accordance with the applicable standards and regulations.
The FM version is also made in size 1"; the FF (IVAR.G 59) and MF (IVAR.G 59/9) variants come in 3/4" and 1".

Frequently asked questions
Which gases is the valve intended for?
For fuel gases of families I, II and III – natural gas, town gas and LPG. The valve is tested by SZÚ Brno to EN 331 and operates up to 5 bar at -20 °C to +60 °C.
What does the designation 3/4" FM mean?
The valve has a female thread (F) on one side and a male thread (M) on the other, in size 3/4". The same series is also made with FF and MF connections.
What should the threads be sealed with?
Use a material complying with EN 751, such as PTFE tape, PTFE cord or sealing paste. Hemp is not recommended, because too much material can crack the valve body.
Who may install the valve and how is it maintained?
Gas fittings may only be installed by a trained and certified company. Use the valve only fully open or fully closed and turn it through its full range once a year to extend the life of the seal.

To make life easier for our clients, our clients' customers and our employees, thanks to our ability to be constantly innovative.
Mission
To design and manufacture advanced hydronic solutions that reduce installation complexity and energy consumption.
“Made in Italy” adds value
IVAR has been producing heating and plumbing system components since 1985: valves for heating bodies, direct heat metering modules, heat cost allocators, pipes and fittings, substations for heating systems, distribution manifolds, radiant panel systems, and components for solar and geothermal systems. And it’s all “Made in Italy”.
Over 200 people are employed at our manufacturing facilities in Prevalle (in northern Italy’s Brescia province). The site has been designed to streamline our many production and operational stages.
The Italian headquarters also acts as a hub for the wider IVAR Group, set up with the goal of distributing products beyond Italy’s borders. The group now has 11 branches, in Australia, Belgium, China, Germany, the United Kingdom, the Czech Republic, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, the United States and Tunisia.
Know How
Research, development and numerous laboratory tests guarantee that our clients’ requests can be translated into new high-efficiency products.
The stages required for production take place internally, beginning with hot forming, which is carried out at our subsidiary Valmon Stampati. Our continuous implementation of projects under the Industry 4.0 initiative also allows us to take full advantage of new releases in technology and IT to improve our manufacturing efficiency.
As a company, IVAR is constantly evolving. Every day, we invest in strengthening our products, in improving our production processes and in attaining new patents and certifications.
