THRs 1-10C - a boiler whose modulation range of 0.9 - 9.5 kW has no competition. Ideal for bungalows and low-energy family houses.
The THRs model range of condensing boilers represents already the fourth generation of Geminox condensing boilers. They are designed for use wherever achieving maximum comfortable thermal well-being and minimal operating costs is a clear priority.
The design of the THRs condensing boiler range builds on the previous THRi model range, which fully proved itself in operation in the most demanding markets and has long held first place in the demanding condensing-technology markets of Denmark, the USA, and Switzerland. Through careful development and the application of the latest knowledge in condensing technology, the boilers have become even more refined. Their technical parameters objectively place the THRs boilers in first place among economical appliances on the Slovak gas heating technology market.

Modern technology and the environment
Thirty years of development and production of condensing technology, focused from the very beginning only on the best solutions, have brought the products to an excellent technical level. Current trends are not only about technology itself, but about top technologies that unconditionally respect our environment.
The manufacturer follows the Ecoefficiency motto, which in practice means maximum efficiency, the lowest possible energy consumption and sub-limit levels of harmful emissions, all while providing above-standard user comfort. The basis of success is the perfect design of the Geminox condensing boiler equipped with the most modern Siemens LMS control unit. Even the basic integrated control system is equipped with a function for easy expansion with alternative heat sources, such as solar collectors, heat pumps, etc.
Unique technical solutions ensure these 5 levels of fuel savings:
- The first level is condensation, where even the part of heat that escapes through the chimney in conventional boilers is also utilized. This additional heat is used to preheat the return water from the heating system.
- The second level is the optimization of the combustion process across the entire boiler power range. Thanks to a constant air/fuel ratio, the patented circular burner with premixing of fuel (natural gas or propane) with air ensures maximum combustion efficiency with minimal harmful emissions.
- The third level is the adaptive eutectic regulation integrated into the Siemens LMS control unit of the boiler, which prevents unnecessary cooling of building walls, optimizes thermal comfort in the house, and increases the efficiency of the entire heating system. Extraordinary savings are offered by connecting solar collectors. The LMS control unit is prepared for easy expansion of the heating system with additional alternative sources.
- The fourth level is the intelligent control of the low-energy circulation pump of class A. This function significantly reduces the return water temperature during transitional periods and thus significantly expands the condensation range. It is also important to note the overall reduction in electricity consumption.
- The fifth and most important level is the wide linear modulation, allowing even heating of the building without unnecessary boiler cycling. It is no secret that after 3/4 of the heating season, only 15 - 50% of the boiler's nominal power is sufficient. All standard boilers that cannot reduce their output to these values while maintaining guaranteed efficiency become significantly uneconomical for 3/4 of the heating season. One of the strongest features of THRs boilers is precisely the ability to operate with maximum efficiency and without cycling even during the most common outdoor temperatures in the range of 5 - 15°C. This advantage is most evident in modern single-family homes. New constructions usually have a heat loss of around 10 kW. According to the above-mentioned and practically verified principles, it is therefore necessary to achieve a boiler start-up power of less than 3 kW for the normal operation of such a house. If this parameter is not met and the boiler is operated outside its operating range, it starts to cycle.
Standard boilers with a start-up power of around 6-8 kW can perform as many as 40,000 on/off cycles per year. This number may seem highly unlikely, but when converted to heating days in a year, it means one boiler start every 10 minutes. From practical experience, we know that even minute intervals are not uncommon. A correctly selected Geminox THRs condensing boiler will not exceed 4,000 starts per year. Even a layperson must be able to see what conclusion can be drawn from these figures.
A unique feature of THRs condensing boilers is the possibility to change their power range. Increasing or decreasing the boiler's power range is possible by simply replacing an affordable burner and reprogramming the service software. This innovative philosophy allows THRs condensing boilers to be operated optimally at all times. It does not force investors to make compromising purchases based on their future plans related to increased heating requirements (additions, heated pools, winter gardens, etc.). This results in a standardized utilization rate of 106-109% (PCI) across the entire modulated range. The result is 25 - 40% fuel savings compared to conventional boilers.
