Detailed information

Product detailed description

Honeywell draught regulator for ATMOS boilers

A mechanical thermostatic regulator that controls boiler output without electricity. It senses the flow water temperature and, via a chain, continuously closes or opens the air inlet damper to the combustion chamber – the hotter the water, the less air the boiler receives.

Connection thread3/4"
Adjustable range30 to 90 °C
Maximum sensor temperature115 °C
Chainlength 1 m, included in the package

Application

The regulator is fitted into the boiler's weld-in socket and connected to the control damper by the chain. It is used, for example, on ATMOS DC18S gasification boilers. After replacement, set the chain length according to the instructions so that the damper just closes when the required temperature is reached.

Frequently asked questions

  • How can I verify that the "HONEYWELL Draught Regulator" fits my appliance exactly? The most reliable way is to compare the exact type/catalogue designation from the rating plate of your appliance (boiler, storage tank, water heater) with the compatibility stated directly in the name of this product (brand Atmos) and in its technical parameters above. If in doubt, send us the exact type designation of your appliance (including the serial number, if applicable) - we will be happy to verify compatibility for you.
  • Why is it important to use the original/compatible part rather than a universal substitute? Parts such as seals, sensors or safety components (safety valves, thermal fuses) are generally sized precisely for the parameters of the specific appliance (pressure, temperature, electrical resistance of the sensor) - an incorrect part can cause reduced functionality, leaks, or, in the case of safety components, a real safety risk.
  • Must this part be installed by a professional? For simpler, mechanical parts (e.g. seals, covers, small accessories with no connection to electricity, gas or the pressure circuit), a skilled DIY enthusiast can usually manage the replacement after disconnecting the appliance from the power supply and the piping. However, for any intervention in the gas, electrical or pressure part of the appliance (e.g. sensors directly in the combustion chamber, safety valves, electrical modules), we always recommend a service technician - especially if the intervention could affect the warranty of the entire appliance.
  • How do I know this part is worn and needs to be replaced? Common signs are visible wear/cracking (on seals and rubber parts), water or flue gas leakage at the part, an error message on the control display (for sensors and electronic modules), or clearly reduced functionality of the appliance (e.g. irregular combustion with burner parts). If in doubt, it is safest to have the condition assessed by a service technician during the regular annual inspection.
  • Is it worth keeping this part at home as a spare? For parts that are normally subject to wear (seals, fuses, small mechanical parts) and whose failure would mean a shutdown of heating or water heating, keeping a stock is a reasonable precaution - especially for an older appliance, for which it may be harder to source the part quickly.

Company History

The family company ATMOS was founded in the Czech Republic in 1935. In the beginning, production was focused on gasifier power units for cars and boats under the brand name DOKOGEN, i.e. the same principle used in modern gasifier boilers for wood and coal.

Despite the German occupation and communist dictatorship, it was possible to maintain the development of wood boilers, gasifier units and compressors. In 1980, at the Pragotherm exhibition, the first wood gasifier boilers and wood waste boilers were presented. To date, 90 types of hot water boilers have been developed, for which the company holds 15 patents. One of the first developed boilers was the EKONOMIK boiler in 1968.

To ensure the European market with quality boilers that save the environment and energy, three generations of the Cankář family are currently working in the family business. The founder of the company, Jaroslav Cankář senior, passed away in March 2006 at the age of 94.

Company ATMOS – present

Atmos is a Czech family company and currently one of the largest European manufacturers of solid fuel boilers. The product range includes solid fuel boilers, gasification boilers for wood from 15 to 150 kW, gasification boilers for brown coal (and wood) from 16 to 48 kW, gasification boiler for brown coal briquettes and black coal with a power of 16 and 26 kW, automatic pellet boilers from 4.5 to 80 kW and combined boilers for gasification of wood in combination with a pellet burner in power from 20 to 35 kW. Products of the company Atmos have aroused great interest among users heating with wood and installers, due to their good functionality, quality and, last but not least, very favorable price.
