HT cleaning access pipe – inspection fitting with removable cover

The cleaning access pipe is installed in the waste pipe run as an inline fitting. On its side there is an opening closed by a cover with a seal, through which the pipe can be inspected with a camera and cleaned with a drain spiral or pressurised water. When closed, the fitting is watertight and gastight.

System technical data

Size range

DN 75 and DN 110 – diameters of vertical soil and waste stacks and main horizontal drains.

Where it should be installed

• on a vertical stack just above the transition to the horizontal pipe,
• on a vertical stack on the top floor,
• on horizontal pipework before every significant change of direction and, in straight runs, at intervals within reach of the cleaning equipment,
• before the pipe passes out of the building.

Installation

• Orient the cover towards open space where there is enough room to handle tools.
• If the pipe is concealed by cladding or plasterboard, fit an access panel in front of the cleaning access pipe.
• Close the cover by hand without using tools; clean the seal beforehand and check that it sits in the groove.

Resistance

Polypropylene withstands hot waste water, alkalis, acids and chemical drain cleaners. It is not recommended for media with a high content of organic solvents.
