HT bend
Code: HTKOLENO32/45Product detailed description
HT bend – fitting for changing the direction of internal drainage pipework
The bend from the HT range is designed for changing the direction of waste pipes inside buildings. It is moulded from polypropylene, so it reliably carries away even hot water from washing machines and dishwashers and is not affected by common household or industrial chemicals. The smooth inner wall reduces friction and limits the build-up of deposits at the bend.

Chemical resistance
Polypropylene withstands salt solutions, alcohol, acids and alkalis, sulphates, aggressive fumes and drain-cleaning products. Organic solvents are the exception – the pipe is not suitable where larger amounts of petrol, benzene or acetone would flow through it.
Installation guidelines
- Chamfer the spigot end of the pipe, apply lubricant and push it into the socket as far as it will go; then pull it back approximately 10 mm to allow for thermal expansion.
- For a right-angle change of direction on a horizontal pipe, it is better to use two 45° bends – the flow is smoother and the drain cleaning spiral passes through without catching.
- Use the 87° bend primarily at the transition from a vertical stack to a horizontal drain and when connecting sanitary appliances.
Frequently Asked Questions
- How can I check that this part fits my HEPWORTH pipe? Compare the size (pipe diameter in mm or inch thread) given in the name of this product with the diameter of your pipe - the HEPWORTH system uses its own precisely defined size ranges.
- Does the installation have to be carried out by a professional? Clips, anchors and wall brackets are common installation accessories that are also suitable for DIY installation; we recommend having the connection of the pipework to a working heating or water system checked by a professional.
