HT low-profile reducer – change of diameter without lengthening the run

The low-profile reducer does the same job as a standard reducer – a transition from a larger pipe diameter to a smaller one – but with a significantly shorter installation length. It is pushed into the socket of the larger pipe and the narrower pipe connects directly into it, so the transition hardly lengthens the run at all.

When to choose it instead of a standard reducer

• in pre-wall systems and installation shafts, where every centimetre counts,
• when connecting a washbasin, washing machine or sink directly into the branch socket on the stack,
• in renovations, where the position of the existing socket does not allow a longer fitting to be inserted.

Installation

1. Clean the socket of the larger pipe of dust and mortar residues.
2. Apply lubricant to the reducer and push it into the socket as far as it will go.
3. Chamfer the end of the narrower pipe, lubricate it and push it into the reducer.

Resistance

The fitting withstands hot waste water, alkaline and acidic solutions and common cleaning agents. The product is not intended for waste with a high concentration of petrol, benzene or acetone.
