Product detailed description
HT reducer – transition between two pipe bores

Design and installation guidelines
- In the direction of flow, the pipe profile may only increase. A reduction downstream is not permitted in gravity drainage.
- Lubricate the joint with a lubricant before inserting the pipe and leave an expansion gap of approximately 10 mm.
- Where space is limited, consider a short reducer, which has a considerably shorter overall length.
Resistance
The material withstands waste water temperatures up to 100 °C, salt solutions, acids, alkalis and drain cleaning agents. It is not recommended for waste containing a significant amount of organic solvents.
Frequently Asked Questions
- How can I check that this part fits my HEPWORTH pipe? Compare the size (pipe diameter in mm or inch thread) given in the name of this product with the diameter of your pipe - the HEPWORTH system uses its own precisely defined size ranges.
- Does the installation have to be carried out by a professional? Clips, anchors and wall brackets are common installation accessories that are also suitable for DIY installation; we recommend having the connection of the pipework to a working heating or water system checked by a professional.

I have a 50mm pipe and need to connect it to a bigger 110mm one, but I'm not sure if this piece works for that or if I need the other way around.

Yes, we have a reducer specifically for connecting your 50mm pipe to a 110mm pipe (listed as 110/50 mm). It is made of polypropylene and has a rubber seal to ensure a tight fit without leaks. You just need to make sure you use some lubricant when pushing the pipes together.
