HT Sliding Coupler – Double Socket Coupler Without Stop
The sliding coupler is a short fitting with two sockets and no internal stop. It can therefore be pushed completely onto one pipe and, after the second piece is inserted, slid back over the joint. It is used for joining two plain pipe ends and for repairs where the pipe run cannot be spread sideways.

Typical Use
- replacing a damaged section or fitting in concealed pipework,
- retrofitting a branch or an access piece (cleaning eye) into an existing stack,
- making use of pipe offcuts that have been left without a socket after shortening,
Repair Procedure
- Cut out the faulty section with a square cut and chamfer the edges.
- Apply lubricant to both ends and push the sliding coupler fully onto one of them.
- Fit the replacement piece and slide the coupler back so that the joint lies approximately in its centre.
- Mark the position beforehand with a pencil so that you can see that the coupler is pushed on symmetrically.
Material Properties
Polypropylene does not corrode, does not conduct electric current and withstands impacts during installation. It tolerates water containing salts, acids, alkalis and cleaning agents; it is unsuitable only for waste water with a high proportion of petrol, benzene or acetone. The elastomer seals comply with the EN 681 standard.
