Industrial stainless steel distributor/collector assembly IVAR.CS 658 with control shut-offs 6/4" × 3/4", 5-way
Code: 510445Product detailed description
Assembly IVAR.CS 658 6/4" × 3/4", 5-way combines a stainless steel distributor and collector with a nominal diameter DN 40 into one mounting unit. It is suitable for heating and cooling systems as well as industrial distribution systems where a large water flow needs to be divided into 5 branches. The outputs are equipped with thermostatic valves and control shut-off valves, so each branch can be adjusted or closed separately.
Construction and connection
- body made of stainless steel AISI 316L, fittings made of brass CW617N, seals made of EPDM
- side inlets with internal thread 6/4" and 1", each body has 5 outlets with internal thread 3/4"
- axial distance between outlets 100 mm, body length 500 mm, total length 545 mm
- distance between distributor and collector is selected during installation
- supply and return are color-coded (IN red, OUT blue)
- threads according to ISO 228/1
Operating values
- pressure up to 10 bar, temperature up to +120 °C
- medium: water, or mixture with glycol up to 30 %
- flow through body DN 40: 5000 l/h at 1.0 m/s, 6000 l/h at 1.2 m/s, 7400 l/h at 1.5 m/s
- flow through one outlet with thermostatic valve: 700, 850 and 1000 l/h at the same speeds
What is included in the package
Distributor body and collector body, control and shut-off fittings, 2 ends with manual air vent and swivel drain valve, and mounting brackets. The assembly is delivered disassembled and assembled on site.
Warning: installation, pressure tightness test and commissioning must be performed by a qualified person. Before starting, the system must be flushed; the manufacturer recommends treating the water with preparation GEL.LONG LIFE 100 or MAYLINE SBA.
The IVAR.CS 658 series is produced in dimensions 6/4" × 3/4" (DN 40) and 2" × 3/4" (DN 50) with 2 to 12 outputs.

Frequently asked questions
For which systems is the assembly IVAR.CS 658 6/4" × 3/4", 5-way intended?
For heating and cooling systems and industrial distribution systems that require high flow. The working medium is water or its mixture with glycol with a concentration of up to 30 %.
What is included in the package?
Distributor body and collector body, each with 5 outputs, control and shut-off fittings, 2 ends with manual air vent and swivel drain valve, and mounting brackets. The parts arrive disassembled and are assembled only during installation.
What flow can the assembly handle?
The body DN 40 is dimensioned for 5000 l/h at a speed of 1.0 m/s, 6000 l/h at 1.2 m/s and 7400 l/h at 1.5 m/s. One output with a thermostatic valve can handle 700, 850 and 1000 l/h at these speeds.
How to fill and vent the assembly after installation?
After tightening the connections, a pressure tightness test is performed. Then, a filling hose is connected to the filling/draining valve and the manual air vent is opened – when no more air escapes from it, the filling is complete.

IVAR designs, develops and manufactures highly energy-efficient heating and plumbing systems. We have over 10,000 catalogue items - mass-produced products and unique items - in addition to customised systems and combinations of complex products. And it’s all “Made in Italy”.
Vision
To make life easier for our clients, our clients' customers and our employees, thanks to our ability to be constantly innovative.
Mission
To design and manufacture advanced hydronic solutions that reduce installation complexity and energy consumption.
“Made in Italy” adds value
IVAR has been producing heating and plumbing system components since 1985: valves for heating bodies, direct heat metering modules, heat cost allocators, pipes and fittings, substations for heating systems, distribution manifolds, radiant panel systems, and components for solar and geothermal systems. And it’s all “Made in Italy”.
Over 200 people are employed at our manufacturing facilities in Prevalle (in northern Italy’s Brescia province). The site has been designed to streamline our many production and operational stages.
The Italian headquarters also acts as a hub for the wider IVAR Group, set up with the goal of distributing products beyond Italy’s borders. The group now has 11 branches, in Australia, Belgium, China, Germany, the United Kingdom, the Czech Republic, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, the United States and Tunisia.
Know How
Research, development and numerous laboratory tests guarantee that our clients’ requests can be translated into new high-efficiency products.
The stages required for production take place internally, beginning with hot forming, which is carried out at our subsidiary Valmon Stampati. Our continuous implementation of projects under the Industry 4.0 initiative also allows us to take full advantage of new releases in technology and IT to improve our manufacturing efficiency.
As a company, IVAR is constantly evolving. Every day, we invest in strengthening our products, in improving our production processes and in attaining new patents and certifications.
