Industrial stainless steel distributor/collector IVAR.CS 657 – 5-way assembly, 2" x 1" F
Code: 560085Product detailed description
What it is used for
The IVAR.CS 657 assembly in a 5-way configuration distributes heating or cooling water from the main pipe to 5 separate branches or circuits and returns it via collectors. It is suitable for heating and cooling systems as well as industrial piping systems where large volumes of medium flow. Bodies DN 50 with a main inlet of 2" F can transfer approximately 8200 l/h at a flow rate of 1.0 m/s, and up to 12300 l/h at 1.5 m/s.
Construction
- dividing and collecting body made of corrosion-resistant stainless steel AISI 316L
- 5 outputs with internal thread G 1", spaced 100 mm apart, body length 500 mm
- side inlets with internal thread 2" F and 1" F, threads according to ISO 228/1
- color coding: the distributor is marked for supply (IN, red), the collector for return (OUT, blue)
- the axial distance between the distributor and collector is selected during installation
- operating pressure up to 10 bar, temperature up to +120 °C, medium water or glycol mixture up to 30 %
Outlet placement and installation
The outputs are free, so you can equip them with ball valves, thermostatic valves, or control dampers according to the project. For orientation: one outlet with a ball valve can transfer approximately 1100 l/h at 1.0 m/s, and with a thermostatic valve approximately 700 l/h.
The assembly is delivered disassembled. After assembly and tightening of the connections, a pressure test and leak check are required. The bodies must not be installed under pressure or subjected to excessive torque, and the appropriate sealing material suitable for the given temperature, pressure, and medium must be used on the threads. Before commissioning, the entire system must be flushed. The installation must be carried out by a qualified person.
Type IVAR.CS 657 is available in 2- to 12-way configurations with a main connection of 6/4" (DN 40) or 2" (DN 50).

Frequently asked questions
Are valves or closures already installed on the outputs?
No, type IVAR.CS 657 is delivered without valves. The G 1" outputs are equipped with ball valves, thermostatic valves, or control dampers according to the needs of the system.
What is included in the package?
The distributor body with supply marking, the collector body with return marking, and mounting consoles. Valves or fittings with bleed and drain are not part of the assembly.
What flow rate can the 5-way assembly with 2" connection handle?
Bodies DN 50 can transfer approximately 8200 l/h at a flow rate of 1.0 m/s and around 12300 l/h at 1.5 m/s. One outlet with a ball valve can handle approximately 1100 l/h at 1.0 m/s.
Can I use the assembly in a cooling circuit with glycol?
Yes, the assembly is suitable for cooling systems as well. The medium can be water or a glycol mixture with a concentration up to 30 %, at a pressure of up to 10 bar and a temperature up to +120 °C.

IVAR designs, develops and manufactures highly energy-efficient heating and plumbing systems. We have over 10,000 catalogue items - mass-produced products and unique items - in addition to customised systems and combinations of complex products. And it’s all “Made in Italy”.
Vision
To make life easier for our clients, our clients' customers and our employees, thanks to our ability to be constantly innovative.
Mission
To design and manufacture advanced hydronic solutions that reduce installation complexity and energy consumption.
“Made in Italy” adds value
IVAR has been producing heating and plumbing system components since 1985: valves for heating bodies, direct heat metering modules, heat cost allocators, pipes and fittings, substations for heating systems, distribution manifolds, radiant panel systems, and components for solar and geothermal systems. And it’s all “Made in Italy”.
Over 200 people are employed at our manufacturing facilities in Prevalle (in northern Italy’s Brescia province). The site has been designed to streamline our many production and operational stages.
The Italian headquarters also acts as a hub for the wider IVAR Group, set up with the goal of distributing products beyond Italy’s borders. The group now has 11 branches, in Australia, Belgium, China, Germany, the United Kingdom, the Czech Republic, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, the United States and Tunisia.
Know How
Research, development and numerous laboratory tests guarantee that our clients’ requests can be translated into new high-efficiency products.
The stages required for production take place internally, beginning with hot forming, which is carried out at our subsidiary Valmon Stampati. Our continuous implementation of projects under the Industry 4.0 initiative also allows us to take full advantage of new releases in technology and IT to improve our manufacturing efficiency.
As a company, IVAR is constantly evolving. Every day, we invest in strengthening our products, in improving our production processes and in attaining new patents and certifications.
