Industrial stainless steel manifold assembly IVAR.CS 656 with ball valves 2" × 3/4", 5-way
Code: 510465Product detailed description
5-way assembly IVAR.CS 656 2" × 3/4" combines a stainless steel distributor and collector with a nominal bore DN 50. It distributes heating or cooling water to 5 separate branches, each of which can be closed with its own ball valve. It is used in larger heating and cooling systems as well as in industrial pipelines where high flow rates are expected.
Technical Solution
- body made of stainless steel AISI 316L with high corrosion resistance, valves made of brass CW617N, seals made of EPDM
- side inlets with internal thread 2" and 1", outlets with internal thread 3/4" with a spacing of 100 mm
- body length 500 mm, total length 545 mm; the distance between the distributor and collector is selected during installation
- ball valves are color-coded, labels indicate supply IN (red) and return OUT (blue)
- threads according to ISO 228/1
Operating Parameters
- max. operating pressure 10 bar, max. temperature +120 °C
- medium: water or glycol mixture up to 30 %
- flow through the body DN 50: 8200 l/h at 1.0 m/s, 9800 l/h at 1.2 m/s and 12300 l/h at 1.5 m/s
- flow through one outlet with a ball valve: 1100 / 1300 / 1600 l/h at the same speeds
Scope of Delivery
Distributor body and collector body, ball valves, two ends with manual air venting and swivel drain valve, and mounting brackets. The assembly is delivered disassembled – after assembly and checking the tightening of the connections, a pressure test and leak test follow.
Warning: Installation and commissioning must be carried out by a qualified person. The system must be thoroughly flushed before starting; the manufacturer recommends treating the water with preparation GEL.LONG LIFE 100 or MAYLINE SBA.
The IVAR.CS 656 series is available in sizes 6/4" (DN 40) and 2" (DN 50) with 2 to 12 outlets.

Frequently Asked Questions
For which systems is the 5-way assembly IVAR.CS 656 2" × 3/4" suitable?
For heating and cooling systems and industrial pipelines with high flow rates. The working medium is water or its mixture with glycol with a concentration of up to 30 %.
What is included in the delivery?
Distributor body and collector body, each with 5 outlets, ball valves, two ends with manual air venting and swivel drain valve, and mounting brackets. The assembly is delivered disassembled.
How is the assembly filled and vented?
The filling hose is connected to the filling and draining valve of the end and the manual air venting valve is opened. When no more air escapes, the filling and venting is complete.
What flow rate can the assembly handle?
The body DN 50 can transfer 8200 l/h at a speed of 1.0 m/s and 12300 l/h at 1.5 m/s. One outlet with a ball valve can handle 1100 to 1600 l/h.

IVAR designs, develops and manufactures highly energy-efficient heating and plumbing systems. We have over 10,000 catalogue items - mass-produced products and unique items - in addition to customised systems and combinations of complex products. And it’s all “Made in Italy”.
Vision
To make life easier for our clients, our clients' customers and our employees, thanks to our ability to be constantly innovative.
Mission
To design and manufacture advanced hydronic solutions that reduce installation complexity and energy consumption.
“Made in Italy” adds value
IVAR has been producing heating and plumbing system components since 1985: valves for heating bodies, direct heat metering modules, heat cost allocators, pipes and fittings, substations for heating systems, distribution manifolds, radiant panel systems, and components for solar and geothermal systems. And it’s all “Made in Italy”.
Over 200 people are employed at our manufacturing facilities in Prevalle (in northern Italy’s Brescia province). The site has been designed to streamline our many production and operational stages.
The Italian headquarters also acts as a hub for the wider IVAR Group, set up with the goal of distributing products beyond Italy’s borders. The group now has 11 branches, in Australia, Belgium, China, Germany, the United Kingdom, the Czech Republic, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, the United States and Tunisia.
Know How
Research, development and numerous laboratory tests guarantee that our clients’ requests can be translated into new high-efficiency products.
The stages required for production take place internally, beginning with hot forming, which is carried out at our subsidiary Valmon Stampati. Our continuous implementation of projects under the Industry 4.0 initiative also allows us to take full advantage of new releases in technology and IT to improve our manufacturing efficiency.
As a company, IVAR is constantly evolving. Every day, we invest in strengthening our products, in improving our production processes and in attaining new patents and certifications.
