For children, an attraction in the form of buttons and a backlit display; for adults, a necessity they use to control the comfort of their home. We are talking about room thermostats, which are part of every pleasantly warm home. A thermostat senses the temperature in the room and switches the heating on or off according to the temperature set in advance. While people who like simple solutions will choose from the many manual thermostats with conventional wiring, more demanding consumers tend to push for technological perfection and opt for wireless versions of programmable thermostats. Which group do you belong to?

The importance of the thermostat in a heating system
A heating system also includes a room thermostat, whose job is to sense the temperature in the room. Depending on whether the required temperature has been reached, it either switches the heating system off temporarily or, when the temperature falls, sends an electrical signal to the central heating boiler. The boiler then starts up and heats the water until the water in the boiler body reaches the preset temperature. Once it has done so, the thermostat comes into play again: it switches on the power supply and starts the electric motor of the circulation pump. As a result, hot water circulates through your heating system until the desired temperature is reached.

The Euroster Q7 programmable thermostat
If you are looking for a combination of function and design, the Euroster Q7 room thermostat lets you programme up to nine different daily temperatures over the course of a week. Thanks to its minimalist design it suits any modern home. The EQ7 thermostat comes in a pack containing a receiver, fixings for mounting the thermostat and a template to make drilling the holes easier.
On the front of the Euroster Q7 thermostat there is a display and, around its outer edge, a rotary dial and an OK button for easy operation. On the back, besides the mounting holes, you will find a short description of the thermostat. Pressing both catches on the back of the thermostat opens the cover, beneath which are the terminals for connecting the wiring. The Euroster Q7 thermostat is connected to the boiler with an ordinary two-core cable and can switch any boiler.

Starting up the Euroster Q7 thermostat
Once you have inserted two AA alkaline batteries into the underside of the Euroster Q7 thermostat, the device starts up automatically. Turn the dial around the front edge to set the year, date and time. A short press of the OK button lights up the thermostat display and lets you set the required temperature. If you hold the button down for longer, you gain access to the menu and further functions, which are described in detail in the enclosed instructions.
In addition to the pre-programmed temperature periods mentioned above, you can also change the required temperature manually as needed, at any time of the day. The Euroster Q7 room thermostat with on/off switching is suitable for controlling most boilers sold in Slovakia. It has become a popular choice among customers who prefer classic solutions.
