Tee 90° IVAR.IVN441 88.9-42-88.9 mm is a reduced press-fit elbow made of stainless steel AISI 304 (material no. 1.4301). The running bores have a dimension of 88.9 mm, the branch is 42 mm – this fitting allows you to connect a smaller branch to the main pipe without further reduction. All three ends are press-fit (press × press × press) and sealed with EPDM O-rings. The overall length of the fitting is 262 mm.

Where the Tee is suitable

The fitting is not suitable for potable water – this is also indicated by a symbol, which together with the logo AISI 304, dimensions and traceability code is marked directly on it.

• temperature from -20 °C, in normal operation up to +85 °C, maximum +120 °C
• anti-freeze mixture with a concentration of up to 50 %

Pressing and joint inspection

The branch 42 mm has a patented LBP (Leak Before Press) O-ring with a broken profile – an unpressed joint will leak during pressure testing – and an orange stripe as an indicator of pressing. These features are provided by the manufacturer only for sizes from 15 to 54 mm; the running bores 88.9 mm do not have them, so their pressing must be checked particularly carefully.

Pressing is done using jaws with contour M. Warning: installation must be carried out by a qualified person in accordance with the installation and use instructions issued by the system manufacturer. Before commissioning the heating system, the manufacturer strongly recommends to flush the entire system; for water treatment, the preparation GEL.LONG LIFE 100 is recommended.
