The IVAR.ST 30 AL board (code ST30AL) is a thermal insulation board for the dry system of hydronic floor heating. It is suitable wherever it is not possible or appropriate to use a concrete screed or self-leveling compound – for example in renovations where a screed would unnecessarily overload the structure, in wooden buildings sensitive to moisture, or in cases of low available structural height.

Floor Composition
Gypsum fiber boards are laid on top of the board – the manufacturer recommends Fermacell or Knauf boards of 25 mm thickness, on which ceramic tiles can be glued. For laminate flooring, a 12.5 mm gypsum fiber board is sufficient. If the lowest possible construction height is required, the ST20AL board system allows a total structural height of 45 mm without the final floor covering. On a stable and load-bearing base, ceramic tiles can also be laid directly on the board. Compared to the 20 mm board, the ST30AL has a higher thermal resistance (0.95 vs. 0.65 m²K/W).
