The DAB JETINOX 82 T (code 60204048) is a horizontal self-priming centrifugal pump from the JETINOX range with a stainless-steel pump body. The built-in ejector and a single multifunction impeller give it excellent suction capability even with water containing air bubbles – total suction lift is up to 8 m. The pump is intended mainly for pumping water from wells and supplying households, cottages and remote buildings, and it is also used in agriculture and industry.

Operating conditions

The pump is designed for clean water free of solids and abrasives, non-aggressive, non-crystallising and chemically neutral, at 0 to +35 °C for domestic use and 0 to +40 °C for other uses. Maximum working pressure is 8 bar and ambient temperature must not exceed +40 °C. It must not be used to pump flammable or explosive liquids.

Installation

It is installed horizontally on a firm base as close as possible to the water source, in a dry, ventilated and frost-free place. The suction pipe must have at least the nominal diameter of the suction port, rise steadily towards the pump and end with a strainer and foot valve; for suction depths over 4 m a larger diameter is recommended. Before the first start the pump and suction pipe are filled with water; the motor should not start more than 20 times per hour. If the water source may run dry, add dry-running protection. The electrical connection may only be made by a qualified electrician – viewed from the fan side, the shaft must turn clockwise.

From what depth can the JETINOX 82 T draw water?
Total suction lift is up to 8 m. For suction depths over 4 m, a suction pipe with a larger diameter than the pump’s suction port is recommended.

Does the pump need priming before start-up?
Yes, before the first start the pump and suction pipe are filled with clean water through the filling hole. The strainer with foot valve then keeps the pipe primed.

What power supply does the pump need?
It is the three-phase version for 3 × 230/400 V, 50 Hz. Motor protection against overload and short circuit is provided by the electrical installation, and the connection should be made by an electrician.

Can the pump run dry?
No, dry running seriously damages the pump. If the water source may run dry, protection against water shortage must be added.
