Laddomat X22 – a complete boiler loop in a single body

The Laddomat X22 is an assembly that replaces building a boiler loop from individual fittings. It makes sure that sufficiently warm water returns to the boiler, thereby protecting the heat exchanger against low-temperature corrosion and tarring. It is designed for boilers with an output of up to 50 kW.

What the assembly includes

• cast iron body with a thermostatic valve and a non-return valve,
• Wilo Yonos Para energy-saving circulating pump with a 7.5 m head,
• ball valves, thermometers and unions,
• insulation kit,
• two thermostatic cartridges: 78 °C fitted and 72 °C spare.

How it works

1. After lighting the boiler, it lets the water circulate briefly in the short loop, so the boiler quickly reaches operating temperature.
2. It charges the accumulation tanks with hot water at a low flow rate – the heat in the tank is stored in layers (stratification).
3. When the fuel has burned out, it transfers the residual heat from the boiler to the tank.
4. In the event of a power failure and the pump stopping, it dissipates part of the excess heat through the non-return valve by gravity (natural circulation).

Which thermostatic cartridge to leave fitted

The 78 °C cartridge is the default setting. Use the 72 °C spare for boilers above 32 kW or where the system has no accumulation tank and a higher boiler operating temperature is not required.
