Distribution to 12 circuits with surface-mounted cabinet
The 553980DN set from the IVAR.CS 553 VPD range distributes heating water to 12 separate loops of a wet underfloor heating system; it also suits radiator installations with a dedicated supply to each radiator. Flow and return manifolds each have 12 outlets 3/4" EK at 50 mm spacing, the manifold body is 612 mm long (dimension A) and the set connects to the system with a 1" female thread (DN 25). The surface-mounted cabinet IVAR.N-KLASIK 4 with 130 mm depth is included; the version with a flush-mounted P-KLASIK 4 cabinet is code 553980D.
Dynamic instead of static balancing
Static balancing set at commissioning does not account for electrothermal actuators, driven by room thermostats, constantly opening and closing loops and changing the pressure in the manifold. The IVAR.VTC 30 D valves on the return have a built-in differential pressure regulator, so each loop gets its flow even at partial load – a benefit especially in systems with low thermal inertia. The maximum flow is chosen on a six-position selector; at a 10 K temperature difference, positions 1 to 6 correspond to 0.87–3.87 kW.

The bodies are made of drawn, heat-treated CW617N brass, seals are EPDM and threads comply with ISO 228/1; the set is rated for 10 bar and 90 °C.
Installation and accessories
Compression fittings are not included – one is needed per outlet, so 24 pcs in total: IVAR.TA 4420 for ALPEX, IVAR.TP 4410 for PEX or IVAR.TR 4430 for copper. To control the loops with room thermostats, add IVAR.TE 30xx or 40xx electrothermal actuators (12 pcs). Leave the flow meters on the flow manifold fully open, as the dynamic valves determine the flow. Flush the system thoroughly before commissioning; installation and setting should be done by a heating engineer.

Yes, the set is supplied with the surface-mounted IVAR.N-KLASIK 4 cabinet with 130 mm installation depth. The version with flush-mounted P-KLASIK 4 cabinet is code 553980D, the version without cabinet is code 553980DBS.
How many compression fittings do I need to order separately?
Every outlet on the flow and return manifold needs one fitting, so this 12-circuit set takes 24 pcs in total. The type depends on the pipe: IVAR.TA 4420 for ALPEX, IVAR.TP 4410 for PEX, IVAR.TR 4430 for copper.
Is the flow adjusted with the flow meters on the manifold?
No, the flow meters must stay fully open and only display the flow. The maximum loop flow is set by the six-position selector on the dynamic valve in the return manifold.
Can the loops be controlled by room thermostats?
