3 branches with space for a heat meter
This 3-outlet IVAR.CS 501 MST set simplifies the installation of a distribution in which every unit has its own heat metering and all readings are grouped in one place. It is connected to the heat source by a 6/4" female thread, and the individual branches via 1/2" female threads spaced 100 mm apart.
How the heat meter is fitted
On every outlet, a spacer piece with an installation length of 110 mm takes the place of the meter. The heat meter (for example IVAR.WFM MEGATRON 5, not included) can be fitted at any time later: close the ball valves on the supply and on the outlets, release the pressure through the manual air vents, remove the spacer and replace it with the meter. After refilling, vent the system. The flow bar has ball valves with a sensor pocket for the meter's temperature sensor (M 10 × 1 connection); during installation they must be turned by 45° so that the sensor can be inserted. The meter always goes in the return pipe and the temperature sensor in the flow pipe.

The flow is connected to the distribution bar (upper part) and the return to the collector (lower part), from the left or right depending on the site. The ball valves on the main supply (red lever for the flow bar, blue for the return bar) are not part of the set. Operation up to PN 10 and +120 °C, CW617N brass, threads to ISO 228. Seal the threads with PTFE tape, cord or thread, sealing paste or gel – hemp is not recommended. Installation and commissioning must be carried out by a qualified person, and the system must be flushed before start-up.

Which cabinet suits the 3-outlet version?
The flush-mounted IVAR.P-KLASIK 3 with adjustable depth of 110–160 mm or the surface-mounted IVAR.N-KLASIK 3 with a depth of 130 mm. The cabinet is not included.
Is the heat meter included in the set?
No. Each outlet has a 110 mm spacer piece that is later replaced by a heat meter, for example IVAR.WFM (MEGATRON 5).
Can the outlets be shut off individually?
Yes, each outlet has a ball valve, so a single unit can be isolated, for example when fitting or replacing the meter.
Which pipe does the meter go in, and where does the sensor go?
The heat meter is always installed in the return pipe and the temperature sensor in the flow pipe. The sensor fits into the ball valve with sensor pocket on the flow bar, which must be turned by 45° during installation.
