Product detailed description
Code 7302050B is the IVAR.AL-PERT ISOL multilayer pipe in size 20 x 2 mm (outside diameter × wall thickness). The pipe comes factory-covered with 9 mm thermal insulation protected by a blue film. The manufacturer supplies it in 50 m packs and specifies the marking PN 10, T = +95 °C.
Five layers in the pipe wall
The inner and outer layers are made of PE-RT polyethylene, with a longitudinally welded aluminium layer between them and an adhesive bonding both interfaces. The aluminium keeps the pipe dimensionally stable, reduces its thermal expansion (coefficient 0.025 mm/m·K) and stops oxygen diffusion. The plastic surfaces do not corrode, resist scale build-up and chemicals, and the pipe dampens noise well. The pipe itself is white outside and translucent inside.
Insulating sleeve
- polyurethane foam free of HCFC, CFC and HFC, thickness 9 mm, density 30 kg/m³
- thermal conductivity λ = 0.034 W/(m·K) at 0 °C and 0.039 W/(m·K) at +40 °C
- water vapour diffusion resistance factor μ > 5000
- reaction to fire class CL-s1,d0
- insulation operating temperature −45 to +105 °C, resistant to mould, insects and ozone
Pipe operating values
- working temperature 0 to +95 °C, maximum temperature +110 °C
- maximum operating pressure 10 bar at +40 °C, 8 bar at +60 °C and 7 bar at +70 °C
- burst pressure 80 bar
- non-explosive water/glycol antifreeze mixture up to 35 %
Use and installation
The pipe is suitable for radiator connections and sanitary water distribution and holds a hygiene certificate for drinking water. It is joined with the IVAR.TA 4420 compression fitting, RA and RR series compression fittings or IVAR.PT, PPSU and PUSH press fittings. When bending, keep a radius of at least five times the outside diameter – 100 mm for 20 mm – and install at temperatures of 0 °C or higher.
The blue film makes it easier to tell the circuits apart; the red version of the same size has code 7302050R. The IVAR.AL-PERT ISOL range with 9 mm insulation covers sizes 16x2, 20x2 and 26x3 in 50 m packs and 32x3 in 25 m packs.

Frequently asked questions
What installations is the 7302050B pipe intended for?
For heating pipework to radiators and for sanitary water distribution. The pipe holds a hygiene certificate for drinking water.
Which fittings are used to join the IVAR.AL-PERT ISOL 20x2 pipe?
The manufacturer lists the IVAR.TA 4420 compression fitting, RA and RR series compression fittings and IVAR.PT, PPSU and PUSH press fittings. Choose the fitting for size 20 x 2 mm.
What bending radius must be kept during installation?
At least five times the outside diameter of the pipe, i.e. 100 mm for size 20 x 2 mm. Installation should take place at temperatures of 0 °C or higher.
Do the red and blue versions differ in anything other than colour?
No, according to the technical data sheet both have the same size 20 x 2 mm, 9 mm insulation and 50 m pack. The red version has code 7302050R.

IVAR designs, develops and manufactures highly energy-efficient heating and plumbing systems. We have over 10,000 catalogue items - mass-produced products and unique items - in addition to customised systems and combinations of complex products. And it’s all “Made in Italy”.
Vision
To make life easier for our clients, our clients' customers and our employees, thanks to our ability to be constantly innovative.
Mission
To design and manufacture advanced hydronic solutions that reduce installation complexity and energy consumption.
“Made in Italy” adds value
IVAR has been producing heating and plumbing system components since 1985: valves for heating bodies, direct heat metering modules, heat cost allocators, pipes and fittings, substations for heating systems, distribution manifolds, radiant panel systems, and components for solar and geothermal systems. And it’s all “Made in Italy”.
Over 200 people are employed at our manufacturing facilities in Prevalle (in northern Italy’s Brescia province). The site has been designed to streamline our many production and operational stages.
The Italian headquarters also acts as a hub for the wider IVAR Group, set up with the goal of distributing products beyond Italy’s borders. The group now has 11 branches, in Australia, Belgium, China, Germany, the United Kingdom, the Czech Republic, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, the United States and Tunisia.
Know How
Research, development and numerous laboratory tests guarantee that our clients’ requests can be translated into new high-efficiency products.
The stages required for production take place internally, beginning with hot forming, which is carried out at our subsidiary Valmon Stampati. Our continuous implementation of projects under the Industry 4.0 initiative also allows us to take full advantage of new releases in technology and IT to improve our manufacturing efficiency.
As a company, IVAR is constantly evolving. Every day, we invest in strengthening our products, in improving our production processes and in attaining new patents and certifications.
