NAZAR universal sealing paste is a Polish plumbing material for sealing metal threaded joints. It is used together with sealing hemp: the paste soaks into the fibres, makes winding easier and creates a tight yet removable joint. It suits indoor and outdoor water, gas and central heating installations.

The paste neither dries out nor hardens, so the joint stays flexible and can be loosened without force even years later. It also protects threads against corrosion. The manufacturer states operating temperatures from −30 °C to +140 °C and pressure up to 20 bar.

For drinking-water installations the paste holds hygiene certificate No. B.BK.60110.1388.2024 issued by the Polish National Institute of Public Health (PZH). The condition is that surplus paste is removed from surfaces in contact with water after assembly and the installation is flushed thoroughly.

How to use the paste

Wind hemp onto the cleaned thread, spread the paste evenly over it and tighten the joint according to the pipe and fitting manufacturer's instructions. Close the tube firmly after use and store it in a dry place away from food – when stored correctly, the manufacturer sets no limit on shelf life.
