The boiler module IVAR.S-300 DN 50 (code IVA49043620) forms a non-mixing branch of the boiler room – it delivers heating water from the source directly to the circuit without temperature adjustment. It is used for radiator heating, charging hot water storage tanks, and for charging and discharging thermal storage tanks in closed hot water heating and cooling systems.
What the module contains
- supply and return pipe with flanges DN 50 for connection to a horizontal distribution manifold
- space for a single or double circulation pump (the pump is not part of the delivery)
- four flanged shut-off valves on the primary and secondary side
- check valve, two filling/draining valves and pressure ports
- two temperature indicators 0–120 °C on the secondary side and sleeves for sensor Ø 6 mm
- thermal insulation Trocellen C080 of thickness 30 mm (λ 0,034 W/m·K)
Performance and dimensions
At ΔT 20 K the module can transfer up to 274 kW, at ΔT 5 K up to 68 kW; the maximum flow rate is 11800 l/h. The operating pressure is limited to 10 bar and the temperature to +100 °C. The body is made of steel Fe EN 10217-1 with epoxy powder coating, the axial distance of the connection is 300 mm and the dimensions are 940 × 660 × 477 mm.
Installation
The module is bolted directly to the IVAR.HC-DN 50 manifold or via IVAR.CONNECTA reducing kits; bolts, nuts, washers and gaskets are included in the package. From the factory, the primary connection is on the right – by swapping the supply and return pipe and cutting the insulation according to the instructions, it can be moved to the left. Do not use lubricants with mineral oil on EPDM gaskets. The installation of the module as well as the mounting and wiring of the pump should be carried out by a qualified person. Before the first start-up, it is necessary to flush the entire system.
