Catalogue numberDC0121

Which boilers it fits

  • DC18GSP(L),
  • DC25GSE – old version only, manufactured up to 15. 4. 2012,
  • DC22GSE and DC18GSE,
  • GS20 and DC20GS,
  • DC22SX,
  • DC18GD,
  • DC18SP(L),
  • DC18S – only boilers manufactured up to 31. 12. 2018.

What comes with the nozzle

Besides the original nozzle, the package includes sealing cement and three sealing cords. They are used to seal at the front and along both sides.

Newer boilers use a different nozzle

The DC18S manufactured from 1. 1. 2019 uses nozzle DC0149. The DC25GSE manufactured from 15. 4. 2012, in turn, uses nozzle DC0126.

Frequently asked questions

  • How do I choose the right output for a solid fuel boiler? Base it on the calculated heat loss of the heated building, but with wood/coal boilers also consider that the boiler burns for several hours per load at essentially constant output - which is why it is common practice to add an accumulation tank to the boiler, which stores the excess heat for later use instead of the boiler having to be throttled down inefficiently.
  • What else do I need to install this boiler? Besides the boiler itself, the system generally requires: an accumulation (buffer) tank of suitable volume, a circulation pump (often already with a built-in Laddomat or a thermostatic valve protecting the boiler against low-temperature corrosion), a safety valve, an expansion vessel and a flue/chimney with sufficient draught corresponding to the boiler output - you will find the exact chimney draught values in the technical parameters above.
  • What fuel is suitable and what is not? Use only the fuel recommended by the manufacturer for the given model (commonly log wood of a defined length and moisture content, or brown coal briquettes or coal depending on the boiler type) - unsuitable or overly wet fuel reduces efficiency, increases the formation of tar and deposits and may damage the boiler.
  • What about the chimney inspection and legislation? Before the boiler is put into operation, and also regularly during its use (usually once a year for solid fuels), an inspection/cleaning of the chimney by an authorised chimney sweep is required by law - without the relevant inspection certificate, an insurance claim in the event of a fire may also be disputed.
  • How much maintenance does the boiler require? It usually includes regular removal of ash and cleaning of the heating surfaces/flue gas passages from soot (the interval depends on the intensity of use, usually in the order of weeks), and once a year a thorough inspection including the seals and the chimney.
  • Can I install the boiler myself? The placement and connection of the boiler to the heating system, chimney and safety devices should be carried out, or at least professionally checked, by a heating technician - it is an appliance with an open fire, high temperatures and pressure components, where a connection error can pose a safety risk.

Company History

The family company ATMOS was founded in the Czech Republic in 1935. In the beginning, production was focused on gasifier power units for cars and boats under the brand name DOKOGEN, i.e. the same principle used in modern gasifier boilers for wood and coal.

Despite the German occupation and communist dictatorship, it was possible to maintain the development of wood boilers, gasifier units and compressors. In 1980, at the Pragotherm exhibition, the first wood gasifier boilers and wood waste boilers were presented. To date, 90 types of hot water boilers have been developed, for which the company holds 15 patents. One of the first developed boilers was the EKONOMIK boiler in 1968.

To ensure the European market with quality boilers that save the environment and energy, three generations of the Cankář family are currently working in the family business. The founder of the company, Jaroslav Cankář senior, passed away in March 2006 at the age of 94.

Company ATMOS – present

The product range includes solid fuel boilers, gasification boilers for wood from 15 to 150 kW, gasification boilers for brown coal (and wood) from 16 to 48 kW, gasification boiler for brown coal briquettes and black coal with a power of 16 and 26 kW, automatic pellet boilers from 4.5 to 80 kW and combined boilers for gasification of wood in combination with a pellet burner in power from 20 to 35 kW. Products of the company Atmos have aroused great interest among users heating with wood and installers, due to their good functionality, quality and, last but not least, very favorable price.
