The code DC0180 designates an original ATMOS ceramic nozzle from the range of gasification nozzles. It is intended for the ATMOS gasification boilers listed below.

Application by boiler type

  • DC series: DC25GS, DC30GD, DC30SE, DC30GSE, DC30GSP(L), DC35SF
  • DC32GS manufactured from 2010
  • GS series: GS25, GS32

Dimensions

ParameterValue
Outer length590 mm
Outer width200 mm
Nozzle opening – length200 mm
Nozzle opening – width34 mm

Package contents

Sealing putty and 3 sealing cords are included. They are used to seal the nozzle at the sides and at the front of the boiler.

Note for older DC32GS boilers

This part is not suitable for DC32GS boilers manufactured before 2010; the DC0131 nozzle is required for those. Therefore, check the exact boiler type and its year of manufacture before ordering.

Frequently asked questions

  • How do I choose the right output for a solid fuel boiler? Base it on the calculated heat loss of the heated building. With wood/coal boilers, however, also consider that the boiler burns for several hours on a single load at an essentially constant output - which is why it is common practice to combine the boiler with an accumulation tank, which stores the excess heat for later use instead of the boiler having to be throttled down inefficiently.
  • What else do I need to install this boiler? Besides the boiler itself, the system generally requires: an accumulation (buffer) tank of suitable volume, a circulation pump (often already with a built-in Laddomat or a thermostatic valve protecting the boiler against low-temperature corrosion), a safety valve, an expansion vessel, and a flue/chimney with sufficient draught matching the boiler output - you will find the exact chimney draught values in the technical parameters above.
  • What fuel is suitable and what is not? Use only the fuel recommended by the manufacturer for the given model (usually log wood of a defined length and moisture content, or brown coal briquettes or coal, depending on the boiler type) - unsuitable or overly wet fuel reduces efficiency, increases the formation of tar and deposits, and may cause damage to the boiler.
  • What about the chimney inspection and legislation? Before the boiler is put into operation, and also regularly during its use (usually once a year for solid fuels), an inspection/cleaning of the chimney by a authorized chimney sweep is required by law - without the relevant inspection certificate, an insurance claim may be disputed in the event of a fire.
  • How much maintenance does the boiler require? It usually includes regular removal of ash and cleaning of the heat exchange surfaces/flue gas passages of soot (the interval depends on the intensity of use, usually on the order of weeks), and a thorough annual inspection including the seals and the chimney.
  • Can I install the boiler myself? The positioning of the boiler and its connection to the heating system, the chimney and the safety components should be carried out, or at least professionally checked, by a heating technician - it is an appliance with an open fire, high temperatures and pressure components, where an error in the connection can pose a safety risk.

Company History

The family company ATMOS was founded in the Czech Republic in 1935. In the beginning, production was focused on gasifier power units for cars and boats under the brand name DOKOGEN, i.e. the same principle used in modern gasifier boilers for wood and coal.

Despite the German occupation and communist dictatorship, it was possible to maintain the development of wood boilers, gasifier units and compressors. In 1980, at the Pragotherm exhibition, the first wood gasifier boilers and wood waste boilers were presented. To date, 90 types of hot water boilers have been developed, for which the company holds 15 patents. One of the first developed boilers was the EKONOMIK boiler in 1968.

To ensure the European market with quality boilers that save the environment and energy, three generations of the Cankář family are currently working in the family business. The founder of the company, Jaroslav Cankář senior, passed away in March 2006 at the age of 94.

Company ATMOS – present

Atmos is a Czech family company and currently one of the largest European manufacturers of solid fuel boilers. The company exports more than 60% of its production abroad, mainly to Germany, Austria, Sweden, Italy, France, Romania, Poland, Bulgaria, Denmark, Slovakia, Lithuania, Latvia, Ukraine, Belarus, Spain, the United Kingdom, etc.

The product range includes solid fuel boilers, gasification boilers for wood from 15 to 150 kW, gasification boilers for brown coal (and wood) from 16 to 48 kW, gasification boiler for brown coal briquettes and black coal with a power of 16 and 26 kW, automatic pellet boilers from 4.5 to 80 kW and combined boilers for gasification of wood in combination with a pellet burner in power from 20 to 35 kW. Products of the company Atmos have aroused great interest among users heating with wood and installers, due to their good functionality, quality and, last but not least, very favorable price.

The goal of the company ATMOS is to be one of the best boiler manufacturers in Europe. To be a company that values its tradition, experience and the ATMOS brand
