Product detailed description

- volume 250 L, 500 L and 1000 L

The tank serves as a pellet storage container for automatic pellet boilers. It allows great flexibility in placement within the boiler room.

Volume 250 L - This is the smallest size, suitable for boilers with an output up to 25 kW in the case of a small boiler room, where a larger pellet tank cannot be used. This tank holds 163 kg of pellets, i.e. 730 kWh.

Volume 500 L - This is a medium size, suitable for boilers with an output up to 40 kW.
This tank holds 325 kg of pellets, i.e. 1463 kWh.

Volume 1000 L - This is the largest size, suitable for boilers with an output up to 80 kW.
This tank holds 650 kg of pellets, i.e. 2925 kWh.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • How do I choose the right output for a solid fuel boiler? Start from the calculated heat loss of the heated building; for wood/coal boilers, however, also consider that the boiler burns for several hours on one load at essentially constant output - it is therefore common practice to add a buffer (accumulation) tank to the boiler, which stores surplus heat for later use instead of the boiler having to be inefficiently throttled down.
  • What else do I need to install this boiler? Besides the boiler itself, the system usually requires: a buffer (equalisation) tank of appropriate volume, a circulation pump (often already fitted with a Laddomat or a thermoregulatory valve against low-temperature corrosion of the boiler), a safety valve, an expansion vessel, and a flue/chimney with sufficient draught corresponding to the boiler's output - you will find the exact chimney draught values in the technical parameters above.
  • What fuel is suitable and what is not? Use only the fuel recommended by the manufacturer for the given model (usually split logs of a defined length and moisture content, or brown coal briquettes or coal depending on the boiler type) - unsuitable or too damp fuel reduces efficiency, increases tar and deposit formation, and can damage the boiler.
  • What about chimney inspections and legislation? Before commissioning the boiler, as well as regularly during its use (usually once a year for solid fuels), the law requires the chimney to be inspected/cleaned by an authorised chimney sweep - without the relevant inspection certificate, an insurance claim in the event of a fire could also be disputed.
  • How much maintenance does the boiler require? This normally includes regularly removing ash and cleaning the heating surfaces/flue gas passages of soot (interval depending on intensity of use, usually a matter of weeks), and a thorough annual inspection including gaskets and the chimney.
  • Can I install the boiler myself? The actual placement and connection of the boiler to the heating system, chimney and safety components should be carried out, or at least professionally inspected, by a heating technician - this is an appliance with an open flame, high temperatures and pressurised components, where a connection error can be a safety risk.

Company History

The family company ATMOS was founded in the Czech Republic in 1935. In the beginning, production was focused on gasifier power units for cars and boats under the brand name DOKOGEN, i.e. the same principle used in modern gasifier boilers for wood and coal.

Despite the German occupation and communist dictatorship, it was possible to maintain the development of wood boilers, gasifier units and compressors. In 1980, at the Pragotherm exhibition, the first wood gasifier boilers and wood waste boilers were presented. To date, 90 types of hot water boilers have been developed, for which the company holds 15 patents. One of the first developed boilers was the EKONOMIK boiler in 1968.

To ensure the European market with quality boilers that save the environment and energy, three generations of the Cankář family are currently working in the family business. The founder of the company, Jaroslav Cankář senior, passed away in March 2006 at the age of 94.

Company ATMOS – present

Atmos is a Czech family company and currently one of the largest European manufacturers of solid fuel boilers. The company exports more than 60% of its production abroad, mainly to Germany, Austria, Sweden, Italy, France, Romania, Poland, Bulgaria, Denmark, Slovakia, Lithuania, Latvia, Ukraine, Belarus, Spain, the United Kingdom, etc.

The product range includes solid fuel boilers, gasification boilers for wood from 15 to 150 kW, gasification boilers for brown coal (and wood) from 16 to 48 kW, gasification boiler for brown coal briquettes and black coal with a power of 16 and 26 kW, automatic pellet boilers from 4.5 to 80 kW and combined boilers for gasification of wood in combination with a pellet burner in power from 20 to 35 kW. Products of the company Atmos have aroused great interest among users heating with wood and installers, due to their good functionality, quality and, last but not least, very favorable price.

The goal of the company ATMOS is to be one of the best boiler manufacturers in Europe. To be a company that values its tradition, experience and the ATMOS brand
