Tento guľový uzáver je určený primárne na inštaláciu na potrubie, nie priamo na radiátor. Na uzatváranie prívodu k radiátoru by bol vhodnejší rohový alebo priamy radiátorový ventil. Motýľová páka na tomto uzáveri je praktická na rýchle ručné ovládanie, ale na radiátorové napojenie to nie je štandardné riešenie.
