The PNI MW 7.2-12 is a compact lead-acid battery using AGM technology, with a voltage of 12 V and a capacity of 7.2 Ah. It is designed as a backup power source for various devices and, if needed, can also supply portable appliances.
It is a VRLA type, i.e. a maintenance-free battery. The gases produced during charging are converted back into water inside the sealed case, so nothing needs to be topped up. The electrolyte is absorbed in glass fibre mats, so the battery can be used in almost any position. Its strengths include a long service life, high output for its size and low self-discharge.
Its dimensions of 151 × 65 × 94 mm and weight of about 1.9 kg let it fit into smaller cabinets or under cable-connected equipment.
Connection and operation
The final charging voltage is 14.4 – 15 V DC, the maximum charging current is 2 A and the short-term discharge current (5 s) is up to 80 A. It connects via Faston 187 terminals. The operating temperature is −20 to +50 °C.
